Jane's PoV

I watch Maura leave the room heading for the pool as I pick my bottle of whisky up watching Ste

"You wanna talk to me instead kid?"

"Oh erm.. well yeah.. if you don't mind?" He stammers

"Not at all, mind if I play whilst you talk?" I ask seeing he's feeling uncomfortable

"Sure.." he quietly says closing the door

Be out in a few Ste wants to talk to me.. xx J

I send a quick message so no one comes to interrupt, taking a mouthful of my drink I set it back down and allow my fingers to run across the keys as Ste sits down

"You've got a question... just ask it Ste.." I find myself saying feeling slightly anxious not knowing what he wants to talk about.

"Well.. it's about you and Maura?"

"Mmm" I hum wanting him to continue

"You two were together when you were a student right?" He asks

"Yeah.. but you know you can't go around announcing that.. she could still get in trouble even if the principal now knows about, the rest of the faculty think we have only just recently got together... it only Sam and Frost knew back then.. why?"

"How did you two end up together? I mean I know how you ended up here you don't need to talk about that unless you ever want to I mean I'll always listen but I mean how did you guys end up becoming a couple? I'm not going to tell anyone anyway you guys are my only friends" Steven rapidly says making me laugh

"Take a breath Ste! Well for me I always found this pull to her, and I mean we had a connection there.. I guess our relationship grew, we flirted a lot! Then I came back from a baseball game basically in my shorts, sports bra and my bag on my back I'd taken my top off because I ran back, I was leaning in the fridge and when I turned round Maura was shocked to find me hardly wearing anything. She said we needed to talk and turned away from me. That's when I took a chance after a day of flirting between us both I leaned in to kiss her and she kissed me back, we took it slow and I fell insanely in love with her... I'm still falling in love with her, I don't think I could ever stop..." I explain

"Mmm so you both knew then really?" Ste asks

"Well I mean shit I thought she could of been flirting with me for the fun of it so really back then no I didn't know but I took a chance... why?" I watch his reaction as he fiddles with a cushion off the chair

"Shit... you like Sam don't you?" I ask as he goes bright red "Hey don't be embarrassed Ste, I mean come on you're a great kid! Tell me what's bugging you out over this?"

"Well yeah I do like him, like a lot, and spending time with him in music he's different you know? He doesn't judge me he's fun and he's been flirting with me a little bit but I don't know if he likes me like that or if he's just being friendly I find it a little hard to read him." Ste sighs

"Ok so flirt back, he can be hard to read, Sam and I have a few things in common one of them being he's a guarded person just like myself, but look just go slow I mean like really slow, I'll watch him and try to read him if you want me to and you know I'll always be here for you to talk to" I smile at him stopping playing

"But what if he does like me back but you know the whole student teacher thing and my age.." he asks sadly

"Well technically you're not his student you're mine but if anything happened you just have to be extremely careful until you graduate so no PDA in public especially not at school! As for your age dude your 18 and you're mature, if he likes you he already knows your age so it won't be a problem I'm sure, I mean shit look at me and Maur I was 17 when we got together and it didn't matter, there's fourteen years between us, so there's twelve between you, age won't have a factor if you both really like each other. Now enough wallowing I'm going for a swim I've got to at least try and have some fun right? So come on, come swim if he's not in the pool see if he gets in the pool" I laugh
