Jane's PoV

Shit I feel like such a dick, Maura's not stupid she knows somethings off considering I've been disappearing three times a week for just under two hours, she knows somethings not right, and I've been doing this for nearly three months now.

I'm supposed to be putting the work in at the new club but I've not been doing anything I've been blocking it, every time she brings it up I flip the conversation, nor have I been putting the work in at the bar, I've stopped playing music which seems to be pissing everyone off especially customers at the bar, but what they all don't know is I'm taking the time to actually try and sort my life out. To be able to give myself a life. To give Maura a life.

"So how are you doing since I last saw you Jane?" Nina asks

"Not too bad, not been having as many flashbacks so somethings working." I sigh

"What about sleep? How's that working out for you?" She asks with an amused look on her face

"Lucky if I manage three hours when I'm on my own.."

"Are you not staying with Maura much?"

"Ahh no well things there haven't been too great..." I start to run my thumb over my scars

"Re direct it Jane.. you still haven't told her then" Nina scolds

"Fuck no.." I snap rubbing the back of my neck instead of my scars

"Why? There's nothing to be ashamed of Jane, and she is a Doctor she will understand plus you know she will support you, you've said she has told you that numerous times in the past. Jane you need to stop pushing her out."

"You don't know her, she will be pissed I'm not talking to her, all she wants to do is help but..." I trail off

"Jane we have covered this, it's easier to talk to someone else because they aren't close. However I am going to make a suggestion" I look up at Nina as she writes down in my file

"I think you should arrange to come back with Maura, by you not telling her where you are and what you're doing she is going to be worried which as you are already experiencing it, it's causing problems within your relationship. So I want you to text me to arrange to come in. Also you need to make time to play again Jane, if you're worried about what you'll end up playing make a set and when you're happy play that set and stick to it. Just make sure if it's at the bar you tell me because I do want to see you play one day!" Nina laughs

"Yeah I guess" I sigh

"Right I'll see you Wednesday, I'll expect your text no later than end of day tomorrow!"

"Yeah yeah see you Wednesday" I laugh stepping out of her room pulling the door closed behind me I read the small sign next to her door.

Jumping on my bike I make the short ride over to Tigers to start to set up for the night, sighing as I pull up next to Maura's car parked out the front. Finding the bar still closed I know she must be next door, I push the door open to find her stood in the middle of the still empty space just staring at it.

"Hey.." I speak cautiously knowing we are probably going to end up having another argument

"Who is she?" Maura asks calmly turning to look at me

"What?" I ask shocked this is a new one

"You heard me Jane. Don't lie to me, you hardly come near me anymore you disappear three times a week, and when ever you come back I can smell perfume on you. So I'll ask you again. Who is she?" Maura sternly asks as I just stand staring at her in shock I never thought she would think I was cheating on her.
