Maura's PoV

"She's just distancing herself again Sam, no matter what I do she's pushing me out again"

"Maura you should know better than anyone that it's not easy for her to deal with this." Sam tries to reassure me as we sit in his class room again Jane's music room door being locked with her inside as the music she plays haunts the department.

"It's just so dark everything she's playing, Nina has tried to tell me that she's ok, but I know she isn't, I know she's not eating again nor is she sleeping it doesn't take a genius to see that. I mean she's even making you teach Steven the AP work, and he's staying with me." I can't help the tears that fill my eyes a few days after Jane received the letter from Charles she's become cut off.

"Have you told her how it's making you feel Maura?" Steven asks speaking for the first time since I've been down in the department

"I can't get close enough to tell her. If she's not here then she's throwing herself in at the bar. If I knock on her door at the apartment she tells me to leave. I just don't know what to do without having an argument with her." Jane's playing comes to an end hearing the door close on her music room we all turn our heads towards Sam's classroom door as she walks past into her office.

"Jane please talk to me" I beg standing in the doorway of Sam's class as she pulls the door to her office closed with her jacket on ready to leave. After what seems like a life time passing she finally looks at me and she looks awful. Dark circles under her eyes her tanned skin looking pale. Holding an envelope and a scrap of paper in one hand as it shakes.

"I.. I can't right now.." she stammers

"Where are you going Jane? Please stop shutting me out." I plead quietly stepping towards her, a tear escapes my eye and I can see the pain in her face as she steps away from me

"I've got something to do.. I'm not good to be around right now Maura. Please try to understand I'm trying to deal with something. I'm trying to protect you." Jane sighs

"You don't have to do this alone Jane what ever it is you don't have to."

"I do" she whispers turning away from me to walk up the corridor

"Please come home Jane, come home tonight no matter what time it is please" I cry feeling Sams arms wrap around me holding me tightly against him before guiding me back into his class pulling me into his lap he holds me as he strokes my hair knowing I find it calming. Hearing her bike peel off the lot I cry even harder

"Erm Maura she dropped this" Steven says coming back into the class

"Wwhat?" I stammer looking at him he just hands me the paper I feel as if I'm falling as I read it

Visiting Order Request for Jane Rizzoli from Eddie Falcon Friday17th October 5:30pm, Old Colony Correctional Center, Bridgewater.

"What is it M?" Sam asks as I re read it thinking it's some sort of joke

"Maura? You look like your going to be sick" Steven says

"Eddie.." I breathe giving Sam the paper pulling my phone out to ring Jane it goes straight to voice mail. Nina. Nina must know

"Nina it's Maura, did you know?.... do you know where she's going today... Eddie.... you didn't?... yes she dropped some paper and it's the visiting request information... no.. no she won't talk to me she hasn't.. she's pushing me out again...ok... yes I will... thank you... bye Nina"

"What did she say?" Sam asks

"She didn't know but it would explain why she's been pushing me away, but also it could be a good thing her going to get closure as she has questions for him. To trust her to tell me when she's ready, not to take it to heart that she's pushing me at the moment because she's trying to close a lot of chapters at once. Nina will try to call Jane see if she gets any answer." I sigh composing a message for Jane
