Maura's PoV

This break was exactly what we both needed it took Jane a couple of days to totally unwind and relax but it's evidently clear that now she has all her worries and stress seemed to have left her, or at least for now.

"You're staring Maura" Jane sleepily says as a smile tugs at the corners of my lips as I had indeed been watching her as the sun cast over her whilst her body soaked it up

"I call it admiring your beauty Jane not staring, you need to turn honey"

"Mm I know but I'm so comfy" she mumbles whilst rolling onto her stomach to carry on tanning her back turning her head towards me and opening one eye to watch me

"How are you feeling sweetie?"

"I can't honestly describe to you how relaxed I'm feeling Maur, how about you?....thank you."  Jane replies

"What are you thanking me for? I'm feeling like I wish we didn't have to leave to go home tomorrow."

"I know what you mean babe.. and thank you for this break... it's been I think exactly what we have both needed"

"Well we don't really have to go back Jane.. not if you didn't want to.." I trail off getting quieter, Jane studies me for a while before lifting herself up into a sitting position.

"Maur.. we do have to go back though.. we have work, the bar, the club, the guys.. and.." Jane herself trails off as she shakes her head thinking about her father.

"I know sweetie, we can always come away for the next break too.. I will call later for an update, now Ms Rizzoli.. care to join me for a swim?" I playfully say drawing Jane back to me

"Mmm I do recall last time you asked that question Doctor Isles we in fact didn't end up swimming" she smirks at me grabbing hold of my hand and pulling me up heading in the direction of the sea, teasing her I pull back only for her to turn and lift me carrying me over her shoulder making me laugh and squeal at her sudden move my squeal turning into a moan as her hand connects with my ass as she slaps it.

"Jane!" I try and scold holding back a laugh

"What!?" Jane's husky laugh fills the air

"Behave I was being serious there are kids about today!"

"Mmm you owe me Doctor Isles!" Jane playfully growls sliding me down off her shoulder and down her body finding my footing in the sand as the warm ocean gently moves around us looking up into Jane's eyes I can see there is a question forming from her.

"Ask me what ever your thinking about sweetie" I softly speak running my thumb over her cheek bone.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Janie"

"But you don't know what it is?" Jane frowns slightly

"And if you don't ask me what ever you're thinking I will never know nor will you ever know the answer to the question.."

"Hmm true that doc.. but nope.. not right now.. I'll ask you just not now.. I have a better idea" Jane smirks at me

"Climb on my back babe"

"Why?"

"I'm swimming us out to the sand bar where no one else swims to.." Jane answers lowering herself down into the water allowing me to wrap my arms around her neck, she does as she says and swims us over to the sandbar.

"Do you want to go to the carnival tonight?" Jane asks breaking the silence as she swims

"I would love to hear more of the music honey wouldn't you?" I reply as Jane laughs shaking her head slightly
