EPISODE 41

The next morning, Sanem walked to the docks. Can's boat was not sitting where it normally was. She thought he left. She then noticed his boat further away from the docks but there appeared to be nobody on board. Sanem looked out over the water and did not see Can anywhere. She turned around and he was walking towards her. She told him she thought he left. He asked her if she wanted him to leave. She asked him if he wanted to leave. Can told her he could not leave. Sanem hid a smile. Deep down she didn't want her husband to leave. Can explained his boat broke down. Sanem said OK and walked away smiling.

Can went in search of his father. His father was glad Can didn't leave. Can told his father his boat broke down. Aziz told him he would need to order the part. Can told him he was sure it would take a while. Aziz agreed it would. Can said he would just have to stick around for a while. Aziz smiled at his son and told him he definitely would. Aziz asked his son if he would stay here on the property. Can told him no. He did not want to inconvenience anybody. Aziz told him to not run away anywhere and to stay close to him. Aziz told him he missed his face and wanted to spend some time with him. Can told his father he saw a hut on the way from the docks. It was in poor shape, but he could fix it up. He wondered if Mihriban would mind. Aziz said he would ask her. Can said he would ask Sanem to make sure she would be OK with it.

Mihriban's publisher friend, Derya showed up to let Sanem know she had been named "Writer of the Year". Aziz and Can congratulated her. Sanem went to get her creams together so she could send them into town to be sold. Can followed her. Can told Sanem her workshop was very beautiful. Sanem told him thank you. Can asked her about the hut on the property and if she cared if he stayed there. Sanem told him it was in bad shape. Can told her it was like their old hut and he could fix it up. He just wanted to make sure it would not be a problem for her. She told him it would not be a problem. Can told her he would help her carry her creams. So, they headed down the road to the pickup truck that was waiting. Her friend, Bulut would be taking her creams and the vegetables into town. Sanem asked Can how long it would take to get his boat fixed. Can asked if she was in a hurry to get rid of him. Sanem told him no, she wasn't. Can told her it wouldn't take long. Cey Cey and Deren were glad to see Can had not left. Bulut introduced himself to Can. Bulut was very leery of Can because of the stories he had heard and the hurt he caused his friend, Sanem. Bulut thought to himself that he would keep a close eye on Can.

Sanem was sitting with Derya in her kitchen. Aziz walked in and asked what they were up too. Sanem explained that the magazine issuing the award asks them to prepare a brochure. The award is given to several writers, so the brochures will be prepared and distributed in the office for a charity fund. Aziz said each writer has to write a brochure. Derya said yes. Aziz asked why not one big book with all the writers in it and make it beautiful. Derya thought it was an excellent idea. She said she would run it by the magazine. Aziz said good.

Can met with Emre. He asked Emre what happened with their mother and Yigit. Emre told Can he made them leave Istanbul. He told Can after he left the hospital that night, Sanem went back to Yigit's room and overheard their mother and Yigit talking about Yigit burning Sanem's notebook. Sanem said she then saw Yigit walking around the hospital room. Emre told him Sanem overheard their mother gloating about him and Sanem splitting up and him leaving. Huma then said Sanem would file for divorce. Emre told Can Yigit tried to visit Sanem when she was in the hospital and Emre gave him no choice but to leave Istanbul. Can asked Emre how Sanem ended up in a mental hospital. Emre told him Sanem had a full mental breakdown. She quit eating. She didn't sleep. She quit showering. All she did was cry and scream. Emre told Can he had to restrain her a few times so she would not hurt herself. Nihat had to restrain her once. Mevkibe and Nihat ended up having her hospitalized for her own safety. Can had tears in his eyes. He ached for his wife and what she went through. He knew she was hospitalized for 6 months, but nobody had given him details on what actually happened.
