Can and Sanem were finally living as husband and wife in Can's childhood home. Sanem felt like she was as big as a house. She was no longer walking but waddling. She could no longer see her toes or bend over to tie her shoes. She was miserable. Her feet hurt. Her back hurt. She could not get comfortable in bed. Can still wanted to cuddle, but who would want to cuddle a whale? Sanem felt unattractive and hated looking at herself in the mirror. She was moody and her hormones were off the charts. How was her husband putting up with her? He told her he loved her everyday and made her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. She left the house less and less. Can still went to the agency every day, but only for a few hours. He worked the rest of the day from home. She was so close to giving birth, he didn't feel comfortable leaving her alone for to long. Sanem felt smothered. She could not breathe. She loved her husband more than life itself, but he was acting like a mother hen. She understood he wanted to take care of her and their unborn son, but enough was enough. She wanted her husband to make love to her, but the doctor nixed that idea. She was to far along in her pregnancy for them to be intimate. She was frustrated on top of everything else. How was her husband coping? He was extremely sexual and loved intimacy with her. He had to be going crazy too. So, why was there a smile on his face every day?
Can was at the agency. He was not in a good mood. He missed being intimate with his wife. He just wanted to make love to her, hold her through the night, but no...the doctor said no intimacy. This was absolutely killing him. He pasted a smile on his face every day for his wife. Her mood swings were off the charts and it was getting hard to ignore them. He told her how much he loved her every day. He told her how beautiful she was every day. But no matter what he said or did, it wasn't enough. She accused him this morning of smothering her. Can Divit does not smother, he said to himself. Well, maybe he was smothering her a little. If their son did not come out soon, he was going to go crazy. The doctor said it could be any day now, so it better hurry the hell up.
Back home, Sanem's back was in terrible pain. She could not get comfortable no matter how she sat or laid. She looked at the clock and realized Can would be home very soon. She had to get her moods under control before he walked in the door. She needed to apologize to him for the way she has been acting lately. She would do that as soon as he walked in the house. She suddenly got a pain in her stomach. She froze in place because the pain was so bad. She had to sit down. The pain in her stomach had stopped, but the back pain was still there. She stood up again and walked to the kitchen to get some tea. The pain hit her again in the stomach and she froze once again. Was she in labor? This was her first child, so she had no clue. All of a sudden, water poured out of her. She knew then that she was in labor. Her water just broke. Where was Can? She walked slowly to the living area to get her cell phone. She immediately called Can. He answered on the first ring. He asked what was wrong. Sanem told him she was in labor. Can said he was almost there and to hold on.
Can hit the gas and drove like a madman. He pulled into the driveway and ran into the house. He yelled for Sanem. She told him she was in the living area. Can found her in extreme pain. He picked her up and carried her to the truck. Sanem told him to go back and get her packed bag and lock the house. Can ran back inside to get her bag and then locked up the house. He ran back to the truck, got behind the wheel and headed to the hospital. He telephoned Emre and told him that Sanem was in labor and he needed him to call the Aydin's and Mihriban and their dad. Emre said he would take care of it. Can hung up and reached for Sanem's hand. He asked if she was doing OK. Sanem smiled weakly and said yes. She told her husband how sorry she was for being moody with him. Can told her it was OK, and no apology was needed. Her body was going through a lot and he should have tried to understood better. Sanem told him she loved him very much. Can smiled, kissed her hand and told her he loved her more than life itself. He told her they were going to do this together. Another contraction hit Sanem and she tried hard not to scream. Can told her to breathe.
