6 months later

Ates Can Divit was now 6 months old. He was the light of Can and Sanem's eyes. He was growing so fast. He was always laughing and cooing. He hardly ever cried. Sanem would watch him while he slept. She could not believe she carried this precious boy for 9 months and went through the pain of childbirth. She would do it all again to bring such a beautiful sight into the world. She would softly caress his head while he slept. She never knew the love between a mother and child until now. Her own mother would tell her of the love between a mother and child, but Sanem never really felt it until she gave birth to her son. She understood what her mother was saying to her all these years. Can would usually find her in Ates' nursery every evening after she put him to bed. He would walk up behind her and wrap his arms around her. She would lean back into his arms and they would just stand there watching their son together.

One evening, after Ates was down for the night, Sanem was sitting outside on the balcony of Can's childhood home, which was now their home. She was watching the stars, enjoying a cup of tea. Can found her outside and sat down beside her. He grabbed her tea and took a sip. Sanem smiled at him. Can told Sanem it was hard to believe their son was already 6 months old. Sanem agreed. Can asked her if she was ready to talk about sailing to the Galapagos Islands? Sanem looked at her husband and smiled. She replied seriously. Can said seriously. He reminded Sanem they agreed when their child was a few months old, they would all go together as a family. Sanem smiled and said yes, she remembers. Can asked her if they could go? Sanem told him she would like that so much. She asked Can if maybe they should fly instead of sail. She did not know how Ates would do with sailing. Can told her he didn't really care how they got there. He just wanted to make his wife's dream come true and take her to Galapagos. Sanem kissed her husband and said OK. Let's take our son to Galapagos, but we will fly this time. Can said OK. He would make the arrangements. Sanem told him thank you. Can told her no thanks was needed. He loved her and wanted to do this for her.

Can made the flight arrangements for him, Sanem and Ates. They would leave this weekend. He also made the hotel reservations and asked for a crib for Ates. Everything was arranged. He told Sanem they would leave this weekend. Sanem was so excited. It was her dream to see Galapagos. Now she would get to share it with her husband and son. She threw herself into Can's arms. She kept saying thank you, thank you, thank you. Can was laughing at her. He bent down and kissed her passionately. Can told her the hotel had babysitting services just in case she wanted to get some alone time with him. Sanem frowned at that idea. She told Can she would not feel comfortable leaving her child with a stranger. Can suggested maybe asking his dad and Mihriban to go with them, since they never really got a honeymoon. That way, they could stay with Ates so they could get out for a night. Sanem said that was a wonderful idea. Can said he would call them.

Can called his dad and asked him about Galapagos. Aziz said it sounded wonderful and he would talk to Mihriban and let him know. Can said let him know as soon as possible so he could get their room reserved and get additional plane tickets. Aziz he would get back with him within the hour. Can said OK. Aziz called his son back in about 30 minutes and told him Mihriban said yes, she really wanted to go. Can said he would make the arrangements. Can called the airline and reserved 2 more seats. He then called the hotel and reserved another room, preferably beside the room he just reserved this morning. They said it would not be a probably. Can went and told Sanem the good news. Sanem was extremely happy. She felt comfortable leaving their son with Aziz and Mihriban.

The next day, Ates woke up earlier than usual. He was smiling and cooing when Sanem entered his nursery. Sanem changed his diaper and dressed him for the day. She then went out to the kitchen to fetch his bottle. She sat on the couch and fed her son. Can came out of the bedroom stretching. He told Sanem he was going for a run before heading to the agency. He wanted to let Emre know they were leaving for a few weeks and finish up anything he needed to finish before they left. Sanem told him she would have his breakfast ready before he got back. He gave her a quick kiss and then kissed Ates' head. He headed out for his run. Ates finished his bottle and Sanem put him in his playpen. She went to make breakfast for her and Can.
