EPISODE 49

Sanem left the hut. She kept asking herself if she should have let him kiss her. She wanted him to kiss her so bad, but it just wouldn't feel right. She loved him, but he didn't remember her or their love. She walked away from him, leaving him standing there confused and hurt. She heard him call her name, but she kept walking. She took a taxi back to the farm. Later that night, she decided to visit Can at his father's house to apologize for leaving him the way she did. She heard Can and his father talking on the back porch. Aziz asked him what was wrong. Can admitted to being alone with Sanem at his mountain hut. He told his dad he almost kissed her, but she pulled back. Aziz told him he was probably upset about that. Can told him no, he actually wasn't upset. Can felt it would have been a huge mistake to kiss Sanem. Aziz asked mistake? Can said yes. He told his father if him and Sanem experienced such a great love, as everyone says, then shouldn't he feel it with his heart. He knows he has suffered a brain injury, but why was it affecting his heart? Sanem ran off in tears. Aziz told him when he does remember, Can is going to be very upset for what he is saying now. Can yelled I do not remember. This is the whole problem. I do not remember. Aziz told him to search in the deepest points of his heart for Sanem and he would find her there. Aziz told his son he has experienced true love with Sanem and to never let go of her hand.

Sanem went home and cried her eyes out again. It seemed she was always crying over this man. He didn't remember her, and he would never remember her. She texted Metin and told him she was ready to sign the divorce papers. She had to learn to live her life without Can. Metin said he would bring them to the office tomorrow. Sanem was not planning on returning to the office, but she would tomorrow, so she could sign the papers. Mihriban found her crying. Mihriban asked her what was wrong. Sanem told her what she overheard between Aziz and Can. Mihriban told her to calm down. It was no good for the baby.

The next morning, Sanem was standing in the driveway waiting for her taxi. She had a doctor's appointment before heading to the agency to meet Metin. Can came out and asked if she was headed to the agency. Sanem told him was after her doctor's appointment. Can asked her if everything was OK. Sanem said yes. Can asked why she was going to the doctor. Sanem lied and told him for a checkup. Can offered to take her to her appointment and then on to the agency. Sanem declined. She told him she was waiting for her taxi. Can told he didn't want her going to her appointment alone. She told him she wouldn't be alone. Cey Cey was meeting her. Can asked why Cey Cey? Sanem told him Cey Cey was her friend. Can told her he was her husband, so it should be him escorting her to the doctor. Sanem just stared at him and said they were married in name only, so it really did not even account for anything. Her taxi arrived and Sanem got in and left. Can headed to the agency. Sanem got her baby checkup and everything was fine, and the baby was healthy. She would get an ultrasound at her next appointment. Cey Cey was so glad everything was fine with Sanem and the baby. They headed to the agency. Metin was already there waiting for her when she arrived. Her office was next door to Can's, so Can saw Metin and Sanem together in her office. Can entered Sanem's office. He asked Metin what he was doing there. Metin said he brought papers for Sanem to sign. Can asked what kind of papers. Metin told him he would let Sanem explain. Sanem signed where Metin instructed her too. Can just stood there confused and didn't know what was going on.

After Sanem was done signing the divorce papers, Metin told her he would handle the rest. Metin then told Can goodbye and left. Can stared at Sanem. She would not look at him. Can asked if she was going to explain what the papers were, she just signed. Sanem told him they were just papers that required her signature. What papers, he asked. Sanem told him divorce papers. Can looked at her in shock. Can told her that she had given up on them. Sanem told him there was nothing to give up on. She could not remain in a one-sided marriage. Can told her he didn't ask for this to happen. He didn't ask for the memory loss. All he wanted was time to regain his memories. Sanem told him it had been months and he has remembered nothing. She has lost hope that he ever will remember her or their love. Can told her he would not sign the papers. Sanem asked why? Can told her they were married, and he had to have loved her or he wouldn't have married her in the first place. Sanem, with tears in her eyes, told him that was then, and this was now. She was tired. She was tired of constantly reminding him of their love. She was constantly tired of trying to get him back. She no longer had the energy to keep fighting. She just wanted to move on with her life and learn to live it without him. Can told her again that he would not sign and then he stormed out of her office.
