EPISODE 17

After Senor Fabri left the agency, Can walked into his office. Can sat behind his desk and thought of Sanem and Fabri. A few minutes later, Sanem knocked on his door and entered. Can just glared at her. She said Mr. Can I know you are angry with me, but...Can interrupted her. He yelled at her that she had no right to interfere on his behalf. She had no right to turn cases behind his back. Sanem told him she just tried to save the company; save everyone's job. Can yelled at her and said who asked you to save anything. Sanem told him she wanted to tell him, but he would not look into her face. Can asked her what she did to convince Fabri to buy the shares. Sanem told him he was a disgusting individual and she doesn't know why she even gave him the time of day. She told him she was done trying to explain herself to him because it was a total waste of time and breath. Can told her she was a little late in trying to explain anything to him. He picked up her letter which was still unopened. He ripped it in half and threw it in the garbage. He told her that was how he feels about her explanations. He asked her if would she give Fabri her smell or was she creating another. Sanem told him it was none of his dam business.

Can yelled for Deren and told her to cancel the contract with Fabri. Sanem stormed out of Can's office. Leyla asked her if she was OK. Sanem told her no. Deren called Sanem back into Can's office. She told Sanem that her and Can would have to continue pretending to be engaged. Sanem said no. She told Fabri her and Can had parted. Can just stared at her. Deren asked Sanem if Fabri expected anything else besides the perfume. Can waited for Sanem's answer. Sanem told them both it was none of their dam business. Sanem stormed out of the office once again.

Emre entered Can's office to try and talk to him. Emre apologized for everything and wished he could take everything back. Can said Fabri was now a partner, which means Emre no longer has shares in the company. Therefore, his presence was no longer required there. Emre told him this agency was his life. Can told him he should have thought about that before trying to destroy it. He said because of Emre they forced to take Fabri on as a partner. He told Emre his job at the agency was over. Do not come again. You can go now. Emre left.

Fabri realized his driver and car were missing. He called his driver's cell phone and Muzzo answered. He told Fabri to bring Sanem and he would release the driver. Muzzo was still under the impression that Sanem had been kidnapped by the mafia. Fabri returned to the agency to find Sanem. Sanem was just heading home. The taxi pulled up to the agency. Fabri got out and met Deren. Sanem exited the building. Fabri told Deren and Sanem that his driver was kidnapped, and he had to bring Sanem to this kidnapper in order for his driver to be released. Can pulled up. Deren told him what was going on. Everyone jumped into Can's truck and they headed to the warehouse. Fabri made a comment to Sanem that all men seem to be obsessed with her. Sanem said and there are some who cannot even look me in the face.

They arrived at the warehouse and Sanem went inside. A short time later, Can followed her. Sanem untied the driver. Muzzo and the driver left the warehouse but Can stopped Sanem. He asked her again if she gave her perfume to Fabri. She told him she wanted to tell him something and wanted to know if he would listen. Can said no, answer the question. Sanem said again it wasn't none of his dam business. She broke her arm free of his grasp and walked out. Can came out, jumped in his truck and sped off.

Sanem telephoned Emre and told him he had an hour to tell Can about the contract between him and Aylin. She had the contract and she was taking it to Can tonight. Sanem hung up on him. She took the contract to her room. Emre called Leyla asking for her help. Leyla went into Sanem's room later and took the contract from her. Sanem was unaware of this. She left for Can's with an empty folder. She knocked on Can's door and told him she had something to show him. They went out back of the house and Sanem handed him the folder. Sanem was unaware that Deren was in the house. Deren had come over to have dinner with Can. She had spilled a drink on herself and went to change while her clothes dried. Can opened the folder and it was empty. He asked Sanem what games she was playing now. She asked how it could be empty. It was just there. Can told her after her lies and decent, how could she expect him to trust anything she said. Deren came out dressed in Can's shirt. Sanem said thank God Can gave her a shirt. Sanem said she would leave. Can ran after her. He caught her outside. He grabbed her arm and turned her around. Sanem was crying. Can told her it wasn't what she thought. Deren spilled a drink on herself and she needed something dry to wear. Sanem told him he owed her no explanation. He could have sex with anybody he chose, just like she could. Can said like Fabri. Sanem said I owe you no explanation. She pulled her arm free and walked away. Can watched her leave.

The next day at the agency, Can pulled the ripped-up letter from Sanem out of his desk. He taped it back together. He still had not read it. He wasn't sure he wanted too. He folded it and put it back in his desk. Meanwhile, Aylin convinced Fabri to make her a consultant so she could find a way back into the agency. Fabri agreed. Fabri came to the agency. He told them he was planning a party to celebrate their partnership. Then he asked to speak to Sanem. Can asked why. Sanem brought Can's tea in just at that time. He asked Sanem if she was free today so they could work on her perfume. Can spoke up and told him no. Sanem had work to do and she was not free. Fabri told Sanem to arrange a weekend when she was free. He then left.

Can came out of his office a short time later and told everyone he was leaving. Aylin called Guiliz and informed her that Can was throwing a surprise birthday party for Sanem. Aylin told her to pretend she didn't know. Guiliz said she wouldn't say a word, but Cey Cey overheard the conversation. Cey Cey told Sanem but Sanem did not believe it. Cey Cey finally had her convinced it was true. She was so excited. She believed Can forgave her. She was so excited for the party the next evening.

The next day, Sanem took Can his tea. She had a smile on her face and Can looked at her strangely. He asked her why she was smiling. She said no reason. Can asked her if there was anything else. She said no and left his office. Can watched her walk away with a strange look on his face. All employees were excused to go home and get ready for the party that night. Sanem and Cey Cey went to Sanem's district to help her mother prepare for her campaign. Her mother was running for an election chair in the district. It was tied but one person forgot to vote...Muzzo. He could either vote for Mevkibe or his own mother. He voted for Mevkibe which caused her to win the election for chairman of the area. Everyone celebrated.

Sanem got a delivery at home. It was a beautiful blue dress, but no card came with it. She assumed it was from Can so she could wear it to her party. She got dressed and ready for the party. She hailed a taxi and arrived at the party. She walked in and when she saw Can, she smiled brightly. Can could not take his eyes off of her. She was stunning. Fabri could not take his eyes off of her either. Fabri was definitely smitten with the young Sanem. He wanted her for himself. Sanem was walking towards Can when Fabri intervened. He took her by the hand and told her she was a beauty, then kissed her hand. He told her he was glad the dress turned out so beautifully. He was glad she accepted his gift and decided to wear it. Can was looking at her very confused. Sanem was confused. She thought Can had sent it. Fabri asked her to come. He informed everyone he had planned this party for beautiful Sanem's birthday. Can was steaming mad by this point. Sanem felt sick to her stomach and excused herself. She ran outside.

Can followed her. He called for her to stop. Sanem stopped and turned around. Can stared at her and her at him. Can told her she did have something going with Fabri and this party confirmed it. Sanem said no. She thought Can threw this party for her. She thought he was the one who sent her the dress. She would not have worn it otherwise. Can told Sanem enough already. He could not listen to her anymore. It is over. He told her from now on she was no longer Sanem to him, but one of those who worked at the company, like everyone else. Sanem said good. She said starting now, he would not have to see this other employee at the agency anymore. She quits. She told him she would gladly leave the agency and his life, for good. He would no longer see her face, nor she would not have to see his. She said congratulations, Can. You finally get what you have wanted. You no longer have anything or anyone tying you down. Your free. So, fly away, albatross. She told him she wished she had never started working in his agency. It has done nothing but destroy her life. She wished she had never met either one of the Divit brothers. She said goodbye, Mr. Can. Have a wonderful life. She then walked away. Can watched her walk away, feeling like his heart was coming out of his chest. Sanem hailed a taxi and cried all the way home.

The next morning, she refused to go to the agency. She told her father she would work in the grocery store from now on. She refused to tell her family why she quit the agency. Cey Cey called her cell phone and asked why she wasn't at work. Sanem told him she quit. She told Cey Cey that he lied. Can did not throw her the surprise party. Cey Cey apologized for getting it wrong. He told her Aylin had told Guiliz it was a surprise party from Can. Unknown to Cey Cey, Can was behind him, listening to his phone conversation. Cey Cey told her she had to come to the agency to set every one straight. They thought her and Fabri were lovers. This pissed Sanem off. Sanem told him OK. Her parents came into the store and Sanem said she would be right back. Sanem grabbed the box that contained the blue dress and headed to the agency.
