EPISODE 37

Sanem and Leyla stayed at Can's house long after everyone left. They were cleaning up his house from the surprise birthday party. Sanem was on cloud nine. She was engaged to the love of her life. She couldn't get the smile off of her face. Can and Emre were cleaning up the kitchen while Sanem and Leyla were cleaning up the living area. Leyla was bad mouthing Muzzo for all the confetti he shot all over the place. In the kitchen, Can took a break to look at the book Sanem had made for him. He loved it. He realized all the effort Sanem had put into the book. He would cherish it forever. Sanem brought more dishes into the kitchen and found Can looking through the book she had made. Sanem stood behind him and wrapped her arms around his chest. She asked if he liked the book. Can said he loved it. He told her he also loved the moonstones her parents got him. He stood up and took her in his arms. He told Sanem he was the happiest man in the world. Sanem feigned innocence and asked why. Can said she was going to be his wife. Can could not ask for anything more. He kissed Sanem passionately. Emre told them to get a room. Can and Sanem laughed.

Sanem and Leyla decided to stay over at Can and Emre's since it was so late. They managed to finally get the house cleaned up from the party and they all headed to bed. Leyla in Emre's room and Sanem in Can's room. Sanem climbed into bed and Can followed. He pulled her into his arms and held her. Can told her thank you for everything she did to plan this party. Sanem told him how sorry she was that is mother and Polen showed up. Can told her it wasn't her fault. Can said hopefully Polen got the point and was on her way back to London. Can told Sanem he wished he could do something to get his mother to leave Istanbul. Sanem added and Yigit too. Can smiled and said yes, Yigit too. They soon fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next day, Huma was in the publishing house meeting with Yigit. Yigit told Huma that Polen had left for London early this morning. Huma told him she was sad to see her go. Yigit said all Can was doing was hurting his sister. He was glad she left to spare her heart anymore hurt. Huma told Yigit they had to do something to stop this wedding. She could not have her son marry such a woman. She was not good enough for her son. Yigit told Huma that Can was not good enough for Sanem. Huma realized that Yigit had feelings for Sanem. She thought she could use that to her advantage. Huma asked Yigit if he really had an American publisher. She remembered him mentioning it to Sanem. Yigit said no and smiled. Huma said what if they pretended, he did. Yigit could get closer to Sanem to be the middleman between her and this "American Publisher". Yigit asked then what? Huma told him that he would end up publishing Sanem's book himself and if Sanem ever found out, she would be grateful because her book got published. Yigit said that might work. Sanem would be so happy just to have her book published that she wouldn't even care that it was him that published it. Yigit said he would try to talk to Sanem.

Meanwhile, Can and Sanem went out for breakfast. She was telling him that she woke up with a slight pain due to her engagement ring pricking her. Can asked if she took off the ring. Sanem said of course not. She would not take this ring off for anything. Can told her he loved her very much. He was crazy about her. He always wanted to be by her side. He told her he didn't even want to go through all of these necessary formalities. He wanted her as his wife right now. Sanem said she always wanted to be with him too. Sanem told him they had to go through the necessary formalities for her parents' sake. It was their tradition and they expected her and Leyla to follow the traditions. Can said he would marry her on a bridge, at the other end of world, in space or on Mars. He didn't care. He just wanted to marry her already.

Later at the agency, the employees had something planned for Can and Sanem. Of course, Huma was there. When Can and Sanem arrived, a cake was brought out with their picture on top of it. It was a congratulations party for Can and Sanem's engagement. Everyone yelled surprise. Can grabbed Sanem's hand. Together they cut the cake. Can embraced Sanem but everyone wanted to see a kiss. So, Can kissed his fiancé passionately. Huma was rolling her eyes in the background. She was still determined to stop this wedding. While everyone partied, Can and Sanem went to his office to be alone. Huma entered Can's office. She asked if they were going to talk to her about their upcoming wedding. She said it was tradition to involve the groom's parents. Can just stared at her. Can said his father was abroad at the moment, so he could not speak to his parent. Huma said she was his mother. Can laughed and told her she was just the oven that carried him. She never earned the title of mother. So, therefore, he had nothing to discuss with her about his upcoming wedding. He told her if that was all, she could leave his office. Sanem told Can they needed to go speak to her mother. Can said OK.
