Sanem entered the agency. She was so confused. First, she told Can he was a free agent and could do as he pleased. Then, she is crying because he decided to leave for the Balkans. It felt like her heart was being ripped in two. She knew she couldn't be with him since he no longer had any trust in her. But she still loved him far more than she loved herself. Why wouldn't he listen to her when she tried to explain about her perfume? Why did it take Emre for him to believe her? She knew she kept things from him in the past, but she had changed since then. Why couldn't Can see that? Now, he was leaving with his ex-girlfriend for the Balkans. Why should she care? She told him to leave, more than once. She told him he was a free agent. She was the one who chose not to be with him. Oh God...her mind was running in all different directions. She wanted him. She didn't want him. She loved him. She hated him. She felt like she was going crazy. Should she talk to him about all this? Should she just not say anything? Should she ask him to stay? Should she just let him go? She knew going to Agva to clear her head didn't help any. Of course, with Can there it defeated the purpose. It made her head even more confused and frazzled. Then with Polen showing up out of the blue, it made things even more complicated. She knew one thing for sure. She had to get out of this agency. She sat down and wrote her application for dismissal. She tried to give it to Deren, since she was above her. Deren refused to accept it. She then went to Emre, who also refused to accept it. Can wasn't there, so she could not give it to him. So, Sanem went to the HR department and turned it into them. She then went to her desk and packed her things. She was crying as she said goodbye to all of her friends. Leyla was crying, watching her sister's heart break in two. Emre had his arm around Leyla, trying to consul her. Emre tried to call Can to let him know what was going on, but he did not pick up.
Can was at the gym, trying to work out his frustrations. He kept thinking back to all the things Sanem had said to him, when he dropped her off at the agency. He was confused. First, she gives back his ring and calls off the engagement. He knew he did wrong by not listening to her about her perfume. Once he talked to Emre, he tried to apologize and make things right with Sanem. She would not have any of it. She would not listen, kept telling him he was a free agent, and told him to leave for Balkans. When he tells her he was leaving for the Balkans, she starts crying. Then, she tells him he is running away from his problems and her. She accuses him of not staying to fight for what they had. Should he leave for the Balkans? Should he stay and fight for their love? He has never been so confused in his life.
As Sanem was packing her things, Huma came up to her. When she found out Sanem had resigned, Huma told Sanem she knew she wouldn't last in this type of business. She just didn't have the heart for it. Sanem stared at her and said just like you never had the heart to be a mother to Can. Huma's mouth dropped open. She told Sanem how dare you. Sanem said I dare. She told Huma she walked away from her 8 year old son, when he needed her. Then, after all these years, tries to step back into his life and take over. Sanem told her in case she hadn't noticed, Can was a grown man now and no longer needed his Mommy to kiss his boo boos, or better yet, nibshit into his life. Sanem told her she knew Huma brought Polen back to Istanbul for the sole purpose of splitting up Can and Sanem. Sanem told her she may be just a girl from a yard, but she was far from stupid. Huma stormed off. Sanem kissed and hugged everyone goodbye. She then walked out of the agency for the last time.
She went to the coast and sat on a bench. She needed to think. She needed to come to terms over what she just did. She broke up with Can, told him to leave with Polen to the Balkans and now she had quit the agency. She just could not understand where her life had went wrong. Everything was fine, until she started work at the agency. Her life then went to hell in a hand basket. She got up from the bench and hailed a taxi. She was so lost in thought, she never saw the car coming until it was too late. Sanem remembers flying through the air, then everything went dark.
