EPISODE 52

Sanem finally arrived in Ege. She made her way to her hotel, where she checked in. She got her suitcase unpacked and sat down on the bed. She smiled to herself. She could finally breathe again. She wondered what Can was doing now. Did he even know she had left? Would he miss her, or would he be busy with Ayca? Would he still go on this climbing trip with Ayca and her friends? She laid on her bed and tried to picture Can with Ayca. They were a perfect match. They had so much in common and they seemed to get along well. How would she treat Can and Sanem's unborn child? That thought made Sanem sick to her stomach. She did not want to share her unborn child with another woman. Sanem stood up, grabbed her bag and headed out of her hotel room in search of food. She left the hotel and started walking down the street. Ege was very beautiful and the streets were crowded with people. Sanem found a little cafe and entered. She sat down and picked up a menu. She ordered herself some food and a cup of tea. She ended up cancelling her tea and ordered a soda. She didn't want to think about Can right now and drinking tea would do that to her. Sanem looked around the café. It was very quaint and there were not very many people inside. Sanem pulled out her phone and checked to see if anyone had tried to contact her. She had a few messed messages from her parents and Leyla. Sanem called her parents to let them know she had arrived. They were excited to hear from her. Sanem told them she arrived safely and was getting a bite to eat. She told her parents she would call them later. She then called Leyla to let her sister know she had arrived safely. Leyla told her that Can had stopped by looking for her about an hour after she left. Sanem asked what he wanted. Leyla said she did not know. Can had spoken to Emre. Sanem told her he would not miss her. He would be busy with Ayca. Sanem ended the call as her food had arrived.

Meanwhile, Can had arrived in Ege. He checked into the same hotel that Sanem was staying at. He arrived at his room and got his stuff unpacked. He sat on his bed and wondered what Sanem was doing. Did she arrive yet or did he beat the train? He should have checked with the desk clerk to see if she had checked yet. Would she be happy to see him or would should be angry? When he found her, he was going to tell her he fell in love with her again. He still does not remember their past love, but here and now, he could honestly say he loved this woman and their unborn child. He would make her hear him out or he would just grovel and beg. Whichever one worked. He left the hotel in search of food. He was starving.

Sanem finished eating and left the café. She headed towards the water. She loved looking out at the sea. She made her way down a small bed. She found a huge rock close to the water and sat down on it. The closed her eyes and felt the breeze blow through her hair. She loved the smell of the sea. There was only a few people there on this little beach. She watched a father play with his young son. It brought tears to her eyes. Would her child ever know the feeling of their father playing with them on a beach somewhere? The tears slowly fell down her face. How had her life ended up this way? Did she do something wrong somewhere in her life to deserve this penance? Was she destined to be a single mother and alone for the rest of her life? She stood up and walked back to her hotel room.

Can had just entered the little café that Sanem left a few minutes ago. He could have sworn he smelled her scent. Can sat at the same table that Sanem had sat at. He picked up a menu and ordered himself some food. He ordered a soda to go with it. He just did not have it in him to drink tea right now. It would remind him to much of Sanem. He wondered what she was doing right now. Was she thinking of him, as he was thinking of her? God how he missed her. He just wanted to hold her in his arms, kiss her and tell her how he felt. He was ready to spill it all to her.

Sanem arrived back at her hotel room. She jumped in the shower. She felt filthy from that long train ride. She laid out clean clothes and headed to the shower. When she was done, she got dressed and laid back on her bed. She pulled out a book she brought with her and began to read. She eventually fell asleep. In her dreams, she was back with her albatross. They were frolicking on the beach with their little girl. All three of them holding hands while walking along the seaside. They were all smiling and seemed like the happy family. Can was looking at Sanem in her dream. He bent over and kissed her, never letting go of his daughter's hand. He lifted his head and told Sanem he loved her more than life itself. Sanem smiled at her husband and told him she loved him more than herself. They continued on down the beach. Sanem woke up crying. Her dream seemed so real, but Sanem knew it was not reality and never would be. She laid in her bed and sobbed her heart out. When she calmed down and pulled herself together, she got up and washed her face. She told herself she had to stay strong for herself and her unborn child. She vowed to never cry over Can again. It was over and she needed to move on. She put her shoes on and went for a walk around Ege. She saw a movie cinema and entered it. She paid for her ticket and entered the theater. She didn't it know what movie was playing and she just didn't care. She just wanted to be alone in the dark somewhere to think.
