Izumi woke up to her alarm clock beeping like there was no tomorrow. She sat up and pressed the off button to silence the loud device. Yawning and stretching she got out of her bed and went to the bathroom. She did everything she needed to do to get ready including trying (and failing) to tame her long and extremely curly hair.
She went back into her room and changed into her school clothes. Today she also packed some extra clothes in her yellow backpack. She felt like she needed a different pair of clothes to exercise in than her school clothes.
She walked down in to her apartments kitchen and saw her mother cooking breakfast. Inko had already finished her daughter's breakfast and was making her own food at the moment. She heard her daughter and turned to look at her. She smiled at her daughter and she smiled back. Inko was a bit worried for her daughter at the moment and was happy she was acting normal.
Her daughter had been going somewhere she didn't know during this week. Once on Tuesday, then the next day as well. Her daughter had refused to tell her anything about it. She decided to ask her daughter one more time while she ate her breakfast. "Izu, what have you been up to, I know you don't want to tell me, but please can I know where you've been?" Inko didn't really expect her daughter to give her an answer, however she had to try.
"You should get a phone call sometime today. The person on the phone will explain. I promised someone I wouldn't tell. I want to tell you, I just can't." Now Inko was really worried. Why would she be getting a phone call? Who will call her? What has her daughter been doing? Who did she promise? Instead of asking more questions she decided she would ask the person who called her. After all that's what her daughter had just said, and she trusted her daughter.
Inko finished her omelet and sat down at the table across from her daughter. "Are you going to be dong something else today as well? If so, when should you be coming home?" She was really afraid her daughter had done something and was in trouble. Maybe Katsuki had done something. She didn't know and that's what scared her. Her daughter had never done something she didn't know about before.
Izumi got up and washed her plate before setting it down. She then went to her mother and hugged her. Inko noticed that when Izumi left for school she was smiling. She hadn't smiled while going to school for a while. At least she knows that whatever her daughter is doing she appears happier than before.
Inko then cleaned the house up bit. Dusting, vacuuming, washing the dishes, and taking out the trash. She did all of that so her daughter could focus on school. When she finished she sat down on the couch and relaxed.
A few minutes later of her sitting on the couch her phone started to ring. She looked at the number and didn't recognize it. She was about to dismiss it as someone trying to scam her. She instead picked up the phone and answered. "Hello?" A man with an Indian accent responded.
"Have you checked your water-" Inko hung up the moment she realized it was just a scam call. She sighed and put her phone back on the table in front of her. Turning on the TV she watched some random shows while waiting for the phone to ring again.
Around lunch time her phone started ringing again. This time she picked it up again without any delay. "Hello?" She waited for a response and was taken back by how tired the person on the other end sounded.
"Hello, this is Shouta Aizawa. Is this Inko Midoriya? I would like to talk to you about your daughter, Izumi Midoriya." Shouta was calling the number he found on a note in his sleeping bag in Hizashi's handwriting that read 'The little listener's gave me her mom's number for you cause you were asleep.' he had already drank seven juice punches today so he was fine to use his lunch break for this.
"Yes, this is Inko Midoriya. I would like to know what's been happening with my daughter recently. Are you the reason she's been leaving the house recently?" Shouta could hear the worry in the woman's voice over the phone, so he decided to be a little nicer than normal.
"No, I'm no the reason. That would be my son Katsuo. He transferred into the same school as your daughter on Monday. He is now training her so she can get into U.A. high. I'm calling you not to answer your questions but so we can assign a meet up date so I can further explain what all that means." Shouta was now waiting for the mother to react. He had dealt with parents before and didn't know what to expect.
Inko was now extremely surprised at what she had just heard. Her daughter has always wanted to be a hero, and now someone is saying that their child is training her. How is this child skilled enough to train someone else? "Why is your son training her? I don't mean to be rude but is he qualified?"
"I am a pro hero and have trained my son for most of his life. He can handle his own in most styles of confrontations. He will be giving his knowledge to your daughter as he saw potential in her."
Inko was now nervously excited. She was on the phone with a pro hero and her daughter would be trained by his son. She now just had one thing left to ask. "When do you want to meet up?"
Time skip backwards to morning
Izumi opened the door to her apartment and walked to school with a smile on her face. She was excited about what she would learn today from Katsuo. He had said they would start on combat training and she was interested in what that meant.
She got to her class and walked in to see Katsuo had already fallen asleep on his desk. The rest of the class were doing their normal, talking with friends and what not. Izumi sat at her desk as she started to write about various things in her hero notebook.
The bell rang soon and Izumi put her notebook away and paid attention to the teacher. She noticed that Katsuo had somehow woken up yet again when the teacher entered the room. She wondered how he did that every time.
Her day was normal for the most part. The only unusual thing was that no one said anything to her about being quirckless, and that Katsuo had found her hiding during lunch and ate with her.
When the final bell rang she noticed that Bakugou said something to Aizawa. She couldn't hear what they were talking about as she was too far away. She did note that Aizawa nodded and walked up to her.
"Bakugou wants to talk in private. I'll Grab you to train when were done talking" He smiled at her then walked away with Bakugou. She waited in the class for seven minutes. Then she heard a very loud explosion.
One of Bakugou's explosions.
Izumi ran to the front of the school.
She would never forget the next moments of her life.
