Reader POV

Katsuo was waiting for school to end so he could start training Midoriya. He had tried to give her the schedule during lunch, but he couldn't find her anywhere. She probably ate alone to avoid getting attacked.

The last period wasn't exactly the most intriguing class. English was something he had learned at a young age to strengthen his mind and he already knew everything the teacher was teaching the class. When the bell finally rang for the end of the day, he was incredibly relieved. He packed up his stuff faster than the average student and turned to Midoriya's desk. He saw her packing her stuff clumsily but could tell she was trying to hurry. Sighing, he walked over to his new student and watched her pack her stuff from over her shoulder.

When she finished packing her bag she turned to get up and saw him standing behind her. She hadn't been expecting this and made an 'eep' noise while she jumped. This drew the attention of the other students still in the class. One of them made a remark. "Oi, Aizawa don't try being friends with her. She's quirckless and can't even say a single sentence without stuttering. She's just a useless waste of space." After making his remarks Katsuo defended his new student.

"How are you any better than her?"

"Huh? Dude she's quirckless, and she still wants to be a hero. How is she going to fight?" The boy said with annoyance in his voice. He was trying to warn him, and was confused as to why he defended her.

"How is your quirk even useful? Isn't it just pulling your eyes out of their sockets by a few centimeters? Please give me one useful thing that your quirk can let you do." As Katsuo said this a grin grew on his face. He knew people wouldn't understand him and start avoiding him. Which meant he could get more sleep. But everyone else in the class took it as him enjoying humiliating the boy in front of him, who was now very angry.

"Oh yeah? What does your quirk even do? You didn't tell anyone yesterday, most likely because it is just as useless as mine!" The boy didn't even realize he was digging his own grave by admitting his quirk was useless.

"My quirk lets me steal someone else's quirk for a bit of time."

The boy's face dropped in an instant. Everyone except Midoriya was stunned. His quirk sounded like a cheat after all. Bakugou was the one to break the silence.

"Huh? So what? You think you're the strongest just cause your quirk is strong? I'm the strongest person in thi-ARGCKHH" Sand was thrown into his face part way though his rant.

"Pocket Sand" Said an extremely smug looking Katsuo as he turned to the rest of the class. "Listen up everyone. Midoriya here is going to get training from me. None of you. Midoriya. Why? She's the only one that I have seen display any form of courage in this school. She's better than you in that department. So, anyone says anything about her in a negative light answers to me. Understood?" With this his hair floated up and his eyes began to glow red. No one could speak as they were too scared, except Bakugou. He was too busy trying to get the sand out of his eyes.

Katsuo looked down at a trembling Midoriya. Great. He scared her again. He grabbed her by her arm and started walking, dragging her along with him. After they had gotten far enough away from the school, he let go and them Midoriya asked a question.

"Why?"

"Mm? What do you mean why?"

"Why di-did you stand up for m-me? Why are you trai-training me? Why are you caring about m-me? Why aren't you like e-everyone el-else?" Katsuo looked and saw that she was crying. He didn't know why but he felt like he should tell her. But he was worried. Then he remembered that she probably felt the same way with her quirckless status.

"Because I understand what it's like for everyone to only believe you can fail. If you don't mind, that is all I would like to share on that for now." Midoriya was confused by what he said but didn't pry into it as he asked, and instead changed the subject after wiping up her tears.

"Okay, then w-what are we doing for m-my training?" She would regret those words more than any other words in her entire life. If she had any idea, even a sliver of what the boy had in plan for her, she would more likely than not of just run away screaming in terror. But alas she didn't know and thus she asked.

"Oh yes. You're training will begin today. Tell your mother that you'll be home late. When you're done, follow me I'll take you to me and my father's training area. I have it today, so we'll train together." After he said that Midoriya called her mother to explain that she would be home late.

"Hi Mom, I wanted to let you know that I will get home later, I don't really know when but when I can go home, I'll head over."

"Wait, Izumi why are you going to be late?  Wait. Could it be... did you get a secret boyfriend and you're going to his place?"

Midoriya began to develop an extremely heavy blush from what her mother was implying and turned away from Katsuo to tell off her mother.

"No, of course I'm not doing that Mom! I'm just going to train to try to prepare to become a hero. When I'm done, I'll text you. Bye." Her mother began to talk but was cut off by Midoriya hanging up.

Midoriya took some deep breathes to calm her blush and when it went away, she turned around and was a few centimeters away from Katsuo's face. He had managed to sneak behind her when she turned her back on him. She instantly had her blush return and took a step back.

"Well, well, well. Who would of thought that Izumi Midoriya was capable of not stuttering? When you're talking to your mother none the less. I'm impressed that you managed to get through an entire sentence." Katsuo knew how she would react, which is why he had gotten behind her. He loved messing with people. He couldn't help it. After seeing her react the exact way he imagined she would, he felt quite good about himself. "Well that doesn't matter right now. Follow me. I'll lead you to the training ground and get you started." He then turned around and started walking away, with a flustered Midoriya following behind him.
