- Chapter: 15 -

Katsuo POV

After Izumi flew away with All Might I started walking around to find her. I saw them land on a rooftop in the distance so I was walking in that direction. My phone buzzed in my pocket telling me I had a text. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw that Izumi had messaged me, saying to meet up at her place.

I sighed in annoyance at the fact that I had walked all this way for nothing and changed course to Izumi's house. This wasn't the first time she had wandered off on our way to training. 'Why did I have to start training her? She cries. She doubts herself. She somehow acts hyper whenever a hero shows up. She cries. She worries about everything. She always gets embarrassed. Oh yeah, she cries. She can't-' I was jarred from my thoughts when I heard an explosion. The same type of explosion as his. I looked up and saw a smoke cloud rising into the air, shaped somewhat like a mushroom.

'What is that idiot doing now?' I walked over to where I saw the cloud, turning around a corner and...

Izumi Pov

I saw a crowd gathering around a street market entrance and was interested in what was going on. I pushed my way forward so I could see what was going on. My eyes widened when I saw the same villain from earlier in the middle of the street, surrounded by fire. 'Is that him?! How? All Might let him go?! Did he drop him?! That means...'

My hands clasped down on my mouth to cover it when I realized that... 'This is my fault...' 

The other people in the crowd started talking "Why're the heroes just standing there?"

"Seems the villain's grabbed a middle schooler."

'Grabbed? Like Katsuo was? How long have they had to deal with that? Unbelievable...'

"Hey, that villain.. Isn't that the one All Might was chasing?"

"All Might? No way! He's really here?!"

"Yeah, I saw him earlier."

"Then what's All Might doing now?!"

I heard people talking about All Might as the realization of what happened dawned on me. I was shaking so much I was starting to have trouble standing. My lungs felt tight, and no matter how much I breathed in they still felt empty.

'It's my fault All Might can't do anything!! This guy can't be caught. We have to wait for someone with the right quirk to show up!'

'Hang in there... I'm sorry!'

'I'm so sorry! Someone will come to save you soon...'

A hero's bound to come...'

I watched as the hostage's face turned and I could finally see who it was. It was Kacchan who was captured. When I saw his eyes, something inside of me reacted, faster than I could realize. The desperation in his eyes called to me, begging me... to save him.

Before I knew what happened I was running straight to Kacchan. I heard the heroes yelling at me to stop, but I couldn't. My body was moving on it's own.

'Why am I running? What am I doing? WHY?!'

'Think, what should you do, how can you free Kacchan?'

I remembered when All Might was capturing the villain originally. The villains eye's stayed fully formed the entire time, as did his teeth.

I remembered the training I had gone through. How to attack an enemy with small weak points.

I remembered my Hero Analysis books. How Kamui Woods' Preemptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison worked.

It all clicked in my head.
