Izumi was following the boy she met the previous day, to an unknown location. They were walking through several alleyways and making several turns. She didn't even fully realize what she was doing until around the 7th alley, in front of an old warehouse, when Katsuo pointed it out.
"Don't you feel even a bit scared of me? We meet yesterday, and now you're following me through several alleys into an abandoned area of town. What if this was just to kidnap you?" Katsuo was in fact curious why she seemed to trust him so much. He wasn't used to it.
Izumi thought of what he said. It took a few moments for his words to dawn of her. When they did... she started to freak out. Her breathing became erratic, she started shaking, and worst of all Katsuo was laughing. He personally found it funny how she hadn't even considered it a possibility that he would try to hurt her. Her reaction to realizing what she was doing was especially funny.
After a good twelve and a half seconds of this Katsuo told her to calm down and that she was lucky he wasn't going to hurt her. After a minute of rubbing her back while calming her down, her finally breathing return to normal. She was still shaking though.
"Well now that your breathing normally, I might as well tell you we're here." Katsuo's words confused Izumi. They are currently standing in the middle of the abandoned part of their town. She looked at Katsuo and saw him looking at the warehouse in front of them. With Izumi still confused Katsuo began walking up to the warehouse and opened the door. Izumi was not expecting the warehouse to look the way it did on the inside.
On the outside it had white paint peeling off the rusted metal. On the inside it was fully furnished with several different sparring and workouts areas spread around the expansive interior. Katsuo turned around and saw Izumi with a shocked expression on her face and had to stiffle a laugh.
"Stop gawking, you're going to see this place about twice a week. If you freeze every time you walk in it'll get annoying. Follow me I'll explain what you'll be doing." With that Katsuo walked in and he heard Izumi following him inside. When she fully entered he closed the door and walked over to one of the training areas. "Okay, you'll start here. You're going to get trained in muscle endurance not strength as strength will mean nothing if your enemy has a quirk that makes them a gas, liquid, or more solid. I'll also need to do my workout. If you have any questions read this." He then pulled out the schedule he had made Izumi the past night and handed it to her. "If the answers isn't in there just come and get me from where I'll be training." With that he left to a different area and started his training leaving Izumi with many questions.
She decided to check the book, opened it up, and was shocked. The book described exactly what she would do with the equipment in the area she was in. After reading a bit she decided to start doing exactly as the book said...
After five minutes she was ready to quit. She knew it would be hard but the stuff he had in the book drained her almost instantly. But she wouldn't let herself quit and kept on working. Unknowingly passing the test Katsuo had set up for her. He was watching her the whole time and was proud she didn't give up and didn't cheat on any of the exercises.
After an hour of hell, Izumi was done with what Katsuo had on the paper for her to do. She hadn't cheated and done everything the way it was put down. She was surprised that she could still walk and wasn't falling over. Katsuo then handed her something to eat. She didn't even see the wrapper as she unwrapped it and gorged herself on the food. It tasted like it had a bit of chocolate in it. She then looked at Katsuo and wished she hadn't. He currently didn't have on a shirt and she saw how the boy (who was the same age as her) had a surprisingly well-formed body. It didn't help that he was glistening with sweat. She blushed and turned away from the boy and asked "W-w-w-w-what n-now I-I fin-inshed wha-what was o-on th-the pap-paper"
"Well first off good job. You passed my test. You didn't give up and actually did the full workout. Next time we meet here will be on Friday. I'll start training you in some martial arts then. Until then, I suggest if you do workout, go easy. If you don't you might get hurt. Rest tomorrow no matter what. Other than that you're good to go." Katsuo wasn't going to lie, he was impressed. The list he had given her wasn't meant to be finished. He wanted to see how she would do with that much work and was extremely surprised she had fully finished it. If she had lied about cheating, she would of been dropped immediately. He was a hard teacher, something he would never admit he got from his juice drinking, cocoon of a father. Izumi had passed the test with flying colors. He was a bit worried about how sore she would be the next few days though.
He walked her home and after she got home he walked on to his house. He walked in and saw his father not sleeping. This made him worried. His father was sitting in a chair facing the door. "So, Katsuo, how was school today? Make any friends? Maybe have a nice walk through a warehouse with one?"
Katsuo knew he was screwed. His father had told him not to bring anyone to the training grounds 'or else'. Now it was time to try to avoid 'or else' at all costs. "U-um Dad I can explain. She wants to become a hero and I decided to let her use the warehouse for training purposes. She's not working with any villains, I can tell just by talking to her. Also, she has crazy determination to achieve her dream so I'm going to help her." Katsuo thought his explanation wasn't going to work. He was half wrong.
"Bring her here for dinner. I'd like to meet the person that you'd risk your neck for, and see if she's really as great as you say. But first, if she's caught your attention, tell me. What's her quirk?" Oh no, Katsuo was now shaking. He feared for Izumi's life at this point. His father wanted to meet her. She's going to die. But worse than that, he now had to say that she was quirckless to the scariest man on the planet.
"She uh, doesn't have one."
"Come again?"
"The girl I'm training. She doesn't have a quirk."
Shouta's eyes widened so much Katsuo would have laughed at him calling them dinner plates, but he was too scared at the moment. "You're telling me a quirckless person caught your attention, and now your training them. Just because of their determination? That you saw enough to be convinced she's worth the effort, with it only being your second day at a new school? Are you sure you're not reading the plot of a bad fanfiction?"
Katsuo was now thinking of what his father had just said. He started laughing. His nerves were shocked to no end and he was scared for his and Izumi's life, but his father had just said 'fanfiction'. Where did he even learn that word? He is either sleeping or teaching. Did a student in his class talk about it? Did he then look it up to try and figure out what it was? Or did his father actually read fanfiction? Either option was too much for the poor boy as he started laughing hysterically falling to the ground and grabbing his sides in laughter.
Shouta did not appreciate it. He wrapped his son up and activated his quirk to attempt to scare him. It only made the boy laugh more. Shouta was now thoroughly pissed. Right before he started speaking, his door opened again and in walked one of his only friends, Hizashi.
Hizashi walked in, and looked at the sight before him. A very mad Shouta with a wrapped up and hysterically laughing Kastuo lying on the ground in front of him. He did the only logical thing. "Katsuo, what's so funny?" He asked this expecting the usual, "I saw X happen to X and can't get it out of my mind", or "I said X to X and they X". Instead he got something so much better.
"My father just asked if we were in a bad, wait for it, FANFICTION." Hizashi heard what he said thought for a few moments, came to the same conclusion Katsuo had, and joined him laughing on the floor.
"I don't know what's so amusing but we have an issue here Zashi. My son here found someone he's willing to train, and they're quirckless to boot." At the mention of the conversation both people lying on the ground stopped laughing. One because he remembered that he was screwed. The other one because of the fact his partner in laughing was training someone quirckless.
Hizashi sat up and looked at Katsuo. "Tell me about this person. Also when can I meet them?"
(A/N): So I was just writing then i check the word count at 1597... I guess this chapter is gonna be a bit longer than normal.
