Inquisitor

- Chapter: 1 -

Katsuo POV

I had my secret revealed at my last school after only 2 months. Why did it matter that my quirk was a HEQ? No one even cared about what I thought or felt other than my dad (who if i'm being fair looks more like a hobo than a pro hero, yeah he's an underground hero but still, man needs a shave and a full bottle of conditioner in my opinion) after they figured out my quirk was a HEQ. They just stopped acknowledging my entire existence, even the teachers did it. So hopefully this time it stays a secret for a bit longer...hopefully.

I hear the teacher say to introduce myself, so I walked in and introduce myself, "Hello, I'm Katsuo Aizawa, my quirk is Hijack, and I like sleep." As I say this I'm also scanning the room to try to learn about the class. I can tell that most of them have weaker quirks, a few good ones, not many. 'Let's see. The ones that stick out are the ash blond with some palm activated quirk and some massive anger/ pride issues, and... wait... is she quirkless? Possibly, based on her nervous demeanor, either that or her quirk is really weak. Interesting, I wonder what she's like. Well let's go to my seat. Oh, of course it's behind the blond dude.'

Izumi POV

When the new student walked in and introduced himself, he glanced over the class in a fast and natural way, but his eyes lingered on Kacchan, and.. me? 'Oh, did he already know that I'm quirkless? Great, now he'll torment me too. Just what I needed. Well if he's gonna analyze the class may as well analyze him too. Appears taller than average, longer charcoal black hair and matching eyes, dang his hair is in nice condition he also looks pretty handsome. Wait what? Why am I thinking that? Bad brain! Oh no I'm blushing. Hide!!' I then form my hands into little balls and cover my eyes with them and put my head down so no one notices.

He went and took the empty desk that was on the other side of the class behind Kacchan, however I'm still wondering one thing. 'How does his quirk work? He called it Hijack. Does that mean its a tech quirk? Maybe it means hijacking something else? But then, what does it hijack? Maybe a person's body? Possibly their quirk? I'll have to wait and watch to see him use it. Then I'll know what it does. Maybe I'll add it to my noteb-' I was cut off by the teacher telling me to stop with the muttering. I apologized and once again became a tomato. Feeling my face heat up I once again hid myself from the class.

The day continued on, the new kid got a lot of attention, and questions about his quirk. He just started sleeping and avoids all of them in the same way. Someone brings up his quirk? He hits the snooze button. I don't know what was more impressive, the fact he could instantly fall asleep. Or the fact that he was able to dodge them all with such a simple tactic.

The day came to an end and I was getting ready to head home. I was packed up and walking out of school as Kacchan grabbed me and dragged me to the back of the school. "Oi Deku, are you still trying to be a hero? If you are, just give it up already. A quirkless nerd like you doesn't stand a chance of becoming a hero when I'm here and an obvious choice cause I'm the greatest in this school. No one's better than me and I'll beat All Might and become number one." Kacchan said his little rant and ended it with a smirk and his usual, "Well you gave up yet?"

"No, Kacchan. You beating me all the time won't change my mind. I want to be a hero to help people, and to let them know that it's okay, I am here now." I said. I closed my eyes trying and surprisingly succeeded in not crying. 'Well that's a new one.' I was ready to take the beating like usual but it never came. Hesitantly, I opened my eyes and saw Kacchan stuck in place and I noticed that the other two (that followed Kacchan around) are knocked out on the ground and the new kid is glaring Kacchan down with floating hair and red eyes. A bandage wrapped around his arm was covering Kacchan's mouth.

Katsuo POV

I was getting ready to go and looked out the window. I saw the girl I assumed to be quirkless surrounded by three guys one of them the blond I noted earlier. I decided to listen in and heard the blond tirade about how Deku was a quirkless weakling and he's the best, get over yourself. What surprised me was the girl's response. She wouldn't even lie about giving up becoming a hero even though she would be hurt for it. When the blond started walking forward to the girl I decided that I had watched enough.

As I jumped out of the window and started falling, I took off my blazer and rolled up my sleeves exposing my capture gear. I then wrapped my bands around the two grunts, pulling them to me, stomping their faces, and slowing myself down. I then activated my quirk and wrapped a bandage around the blond's face to stop him from moving away (and also to keep his mouth shut).

He then decided to charge me, activating his quirk and exploding towards me rather quickly. I saw him ready a right hook and parried it, knocking it to the side away from me with my left hand. A quick uppercut followed then a knee to the stomach. He started to fall backwards. Using my capture gear I pulled him to me as my knee now made friends with his nose. Possibly breaking it, scratch that, hopefully breaking it.

He fell over unconscious. I sighed, disappointed at his inability to keep up and said, "I didn't even need my quirk for this. I had honestly thought you could keep up." Now, time to make sure she's okay, I don't think she got hurt but I want to be sure. I turned and looked at her and she made a little 'eep' noise when I looked at her. 'She's probably scared of me, I did just beat up the person attacking her without explaining myself so she may think that I will attack her next. She's also shaking like mad'

Deciding to explain myself, I got down to where she was sitting with her back against a tree and sat a little bit away from her. Now that we are both sitting and facing each other, she should be able to see that I won't attack her. Now the real question, what should I say...
