Bakugou POV

When my quirk manifested it was the best one in my class. I was faster, stronger, even smarter than everyone else in my class as well. I was born to become great.

But Deku always was right behind me.

At first it bothered me a little bit; I could just ignore it. I thought she would come to face reality eventually.

But she kept on chasing a dream she couldn't reach, a dream that will only lead to her getting hurt or killed.

She was always behind me and eventually I couldn't take it, I couldn't deal with her being hurt because she couldn't accept reality. So, I tried to get her to stop every way I could. Eventually the only option left was to show her the difference between having and not having a quirk.

Even then she stayed right behind me.

No, she just seemed to grasp on tighter to her idiotic dream.

For years I tried to get her to stop, then HE showed up.

HE popped up out of nowhere and acted like a beacon of light saving her from darkness, almost like a fairy tale.

But that isn't what happened.

HE took me down when I wasn't ready or prepared and then HE stole Deku and started telling her lies about how she can become a hero. How is she supposed to help others when she can't even help herself?

I got sick of watching HIM manipulate her, lie to her, I knew that HE was hiding something, I just couldn't tell what it was. So, I decided to ask HIM.

Of course HE avoided the question, of course HE figured out one of my closest secrets, of course we got into a fight. I didn't expect Deku to help HIM though, that was outside of everything I had expected.

HE dug through his bag and put on some weird mask thing. I thought nothing of it, until HIS entire presence changed. HE no longer radiated a friendly calming aura, but instead a cold, harsh, and calculating one. It was as if HE had changed into another person completely.

HE put on the mask and radiated an aura of a person who would stop at nothing to reach their goal. I felt my stomach twist strangely, and I started to sweat a bit more. 'Why am I feeling this way? What did HE do to me? What did AIZAWA do?'

I realized what I was feeling after he punched me and sent me flying with my own quirk. After he said those words that I'd never forget.

"Ahh, so your quirk is one of those styles, sad you didn't realize earlier. Here, let me show you how it should be used."

'Oh, I get it now.'

'This is what real fear feels like.'

He reached out a palm and pointed it at me, I thought he was being stupid. 'My quirk can't reach that far without damaging your arm.'

I was wrong.

His palm started glowing, but instead of exploding a small sphere was made. It grew to about the size of a baseball then stopped growing, instead glowing brighter.

He then faced his palm straight up, and slammed his other hand onto the ball of energy, almost like he clapped his hands.

Then a giant beam of heat escaped and went over my head. Even though it was several meters away, I could still feel the scorching heat of the blast. Turning around I saw that the blast had parted the clouds.

I fell down, unable to move my body anymore, not from physical damage, not because I was being restrained, but because I was so scared.

'He could have killed me with that. He spared my life and instead showed me how... how weak I am. I always thought I was the strongest, the best, but I'm just and idiot flaunting around fake power.'

That was the last thing I thought before passing out.
