'What?'
Shinsou looked at Izumi and couldn't look away, confusion freezing his gaze.
'How did she move?!'
Izumi turned her head and looked at Shinsou over her shoulder.
'Is what he said really true?!'
The next thing Shinsou knew a blast of wind threw him back slightly. He stumbled on his feet for a few moments before regathering himself and looked at where Izumi had sent the blast at him. When he looked however, she wasn't in the same place.
She was right in front of him, reading a punch.
The blow connected with his stomach and sent him backwards. He hit the ground hard and went to stand up when he heard Midnight announce he was out of bounds.
'What...'
He looked at Izumi, who stopped herself from sliding on the ground after jumping at Shinsou with her quirk.
'Just happened?'
Izumi walked over to Shinsou and extended a hand to him. "Just because you didn't win doesn't mean you've lost."
Shinsou looked at her hand then her.
"You may not believe me... but I-
"Yeah I know." Shinsou cut her off, surprising Izumi. "I just said that stuff to get to you so my quirk would activate, but I guess that didn't matter."
'It really happened just as he said.'
Izumi looked at shinsou for a moment before nodding with satisfaction. Shinsou grabbed her hand and got up. After nodding back at Izumi he turned around to head back to his seat in the crowd.
'He told me what to say to trigger my quirk. I asked why he would tell me that and his answer sounded stupid at the time... but I guess that "She'll be fine. Brainwashing her won't stop her." was a serious response after all.'
Katsuo smiled at the end result of the first round, and went to grab snacks for the next rounds. He felt that they were going to be rather fun to watch, but would be more fun with popcorn and soda.
When he got back he saw that Izumi had joined the group and went over to them. "Hey, what's up guys?"
Iida replied to Katsuo's greeting "Ah, Katsuo! It seems you have returned from your journey to attain nutrients!"
Katsuo looked at his arms loaded with snacks and shrugged. "Less nutrients... more enjoyment."
Iida held his chin in thought as he also looked at Katsuo's hoard. "I see... that does appear so."
"Shut up!! The match is starting soon!" Katsuki yelled at the two.
Katsuo sat down and started preparing his snacks. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mr. Tsun-tsun wants to watch people beat each other up."
"I'M NOT A GOD DAMN TSUNDERE!!"
Iida tilted his head and pushed up his glasses so that they glinted. "That's what all Tsundere's say."
Katsuki's forehead seemed to explode in tic marks as he silently suffered.
"Did I 'meme him' correctly, Katsuo?" Iida asked.
Katsuo, who was now holding in his laughter at Iida's remark nodded happily, his life feeling fulfilled.
"Still though... I haven't the faintest clue what 'Tsundere' means... Based on wording it's 'cold-love' but... those contradict one another... I'll have to ask my brother later. I'm sure he'll know the meaning."
