Inquisitor

- Chapter: 40 -

Izumi walked to the edge of the stairs and looked around. She couldn't make out any of her classmates from this far away. After sweeping around the area, she turned her vision downward.

She looked at the main plaza and was shocked. Eraserhead was lying on the ground in a broken mess. The warping villain was standing at a distance from what looked like a fight. One villain, a man covered in hands, sat up from the ground and was starting to point at something.

She followed the man's finger and she felt her heart stop.

Katsuo was standing still, for just a moment, when a hulking monster ran forward at insane speeds and punched him. Izumi watched as Katsuo crashed into a wall.

Izumi yelled, louder than she ever had before. Loud enough to echo through the building.

"KATSUO!!"

She jumped down, rushing to where he was. She saw him look at her, an unreadable expression on his face, as he tried, and failed to stand up. She was halfway to him when the monster was in front of Katsuo again.

'NO! NONONONONO!'

She moved forward, still a few seconds until she reached him. The monster reared back it's fist. Katsuo didn't seem to care.

'PLEASE!! DON'T!!!'

Two more seconds. It's fist flew forward, air seeming to warp around it's path.

'NOOOOO!!!'

A loud crash came from behind Izumi, back where the entrance was. The monster's fist stopped right before killing Katsuo. Izumi rushed forward and grabbed Katsuo, she then turned around and saw All Might walking into view.

"FEAR NOT. I AM HERE."

Instead of his usual fearless smile, he wore a look of pure anguish. All Might lunged at such incredible speed that he almost seemed to teleport.

The next thing Izumi knew, she was further away from the plaza. Eraserhead was lying next to her. Katsuo was still in her arms. All Might stood in front of them protectively.

"Young Midoriya!"

Izumi looked at All Might. "Yeah?"

"Get these two out of here. I'll take care of the villains."

Izumi looked at Katsuo and his father. Katsuo had lost consciousness, blood dripping freely from his head. Eraserhead's arms were twisted into horrible shapes, and his face was in a mess.

"Y-Yeah, I'll do th-"

Katsuo suddenly lurched out of Izumi's arms and fell onto the ground, coughing up blood.

"Katsuo!"

"Young Aizawa!"

Katsuo reached out and grabbed All Might. "D-Don't..."

"Young Aizawa, don't try to speak! Stay calm a-"

"D-DON'T FIGHT IT!" Katsuo leaned over and coughed again. "I-It has... more th-than one... quirk. Speed... Strength... Healing... and Shock Absorption... It... could kill you..."

All Might put one of his hands on Katsuo's shoulder. "Thank you for the info. But..." All Might struck a pose. "FEAR NOT! With what you've told me, I know how I can win."

Katsuo looked at All Might, and nodded. "O...kay..." His grip released from All Might and he fell back into unconsciousness.

"Now, Young Midoriya get these two out of here. I'll be done with these villains in no time!"
