Inquisitor

- Chapter: 22 -

Izumi started to fall from the sky. When she realized that she was falling she started thinking about what had just happened.

She had heard the girl from the entrance get hurt from the falling rubble. Izumi then ran forward to try and stop the zero pointer with All Might's power. Based on the fact she was falling through the air she concluded that she had succeeded in using his power.

Then the pain hit her. Her right arm and legs were flapping in the wind like rubber chickens. 'What, what the hell is this?!! I know All Might said some backlash... but... THIS IS TOO MUCH!! I think my bones were completely shattered!! The ground is getting closer every second too... I need to think of some way to stop myself from falling... I can't use my capture gear, using it to stop would make it rip through me. Then, I have to use All Might's quirk to slow myself down right before I crash. If I mess up the timing slightly I either will stop to late and already died, or stop early and fall to my death. I only have one chance as my limbs apparently liquidate on quirk use, and I only have one arm left. Okay, I can do this!'

Izumi reared her left arm back and prepared her new quirk to stop her fall. Right before she was going to punch she felt herself get slapped by someone and subsequently lose all of her weight. She drifted to the ground hearing "release" as her weight returned to her. Izumi fell to the ground, landing on her back. She looked to her side and saw the girl from the entrance laying on her stomach on top of a three pointer's missile silo barfing rainbows.

Izumi sighed when she saw that the girl appeared to be safe. Then she heard Present Mic announce that the test was over and she realized that she didn't have enough points to pass.

The other examinees started talking about what she had just done. Some asking how with a quirk like hers she had become such a scaredy-cat and others wondering if it was all just some act to throw them off. When Izumi heard them talking about her like that, felt herself start laughing, although she didn't know why.

She then heard a voice that belonged to and elderly woman from above her. "Deary me. I'm impressed you can laugh with how beat up you are right now! Your own quirk seemed to destroy your body when you used it, almost as if your body isn't used to it." Izumi turned her head to look at the old lady and immediately recognized her as the Youthful Heroine: Recovery Girl. Recovery Girl kissed Izumi on her head to activate her healing quirk on Izumi.

Izumi felt her injured legs and her arm begin to heal. The pain that was once in them replaced with a powerful feeling of exhaustion. Recovery girl made sure that Izumi was fine before she started to leave.

Recovery Girl turned to the other examinees and asked if any of them were hurt. Izumi was the first one and only one to speak up. "Inside of that building over there is a boy who got his head hurt and lost consciousness." She pointed her finger at the building as she stood up.

Recovery Girl did not like how Izumi was moving so soon after getting healed, and displayed that by whacking Izumi over the head with her cane. "Stop that moving around child! My quirk uses peoples stamina to heal them and I don't want to deal with you..." Recovery Girl stopped speaking as Izumi passed out and fell over. "...Passing... out..." Recovery Girl sighed as she called the med bots to take Izumi to the nurses office until she woke up. Recovery Girl then moved to heal other examinees that had gotten hurt.

Recovery Girl had seen quite a few injuries throughout the day. All of them she could just use her quirk on to fix almost instantly. Except for one person's injuries. She knew who the boy was, he was Eraserhead's kid, Katsuo Aizawa. She had caught Eraserhead looking at pictures of the boy on his phone in the teachers lounge several times.
