Katsuki was standing in front of the testing area waiting for the signal to enter. Although their were several people around him, he paid them no attention. They would just distract him from the test, which he couldn't have. He was going to try to beat Katsuo's score. So, he needed to be ready to act when they start the test. Thus no distractions.
When the test started, by a signal of Present Mic yelling, Katsuki started running to enter the testing grounds. People started to crowd around him, blocking off his ability to use his quirk to move around. He quickly thought of a solution to that problem.
Katsuki solved the problem in the same way he solved his other problems, by yelling at people.
"HEY, YOU DAMN EXTRAS!!!"
The other examinees looked at him with a look of complete and utter confusion.
"Move, or die." Katsuki slammed a fist into his other hand's palm and created a small explosion. "Your choice." Pointing his hands at the ground, he let off small explosions rapidly, then let off a larger one when the other people understood they needed to run.
Once he war airborne, Katsuki used his explosions to begin his slaughter of the robots. He moved with no sense of direction, or any semblance of a plan. He just moved as fast as he could, and destroyed every robot he saw. A three pointer? Blown up. A group of one and two pointers? Obliterated.
Every time he destroyed a robot he moved onto the next. He could tell that him training in secret paid off greatly. Ever since Katsuo beat him with his own quirk he had been training endlessly to try and close the gap between them. Over time he learned things about his quirk and powered it up quite a bit. Thanks to this he was able to amass quite a large point count at ninety-seven.
Although, Katsuki didn't even count his points, he just destroyed robots. Before he even realized it, the test only had three minutes left. That's when the zero pointer entered the fray.
Katsuki was right where it started it's rampage. Buildings were destroyed with a single hit from the giant robot, debris falling everywhere. The other examinees were running away, leaving behind other robots in fear of being crushed by the rubble.
Katsuki watched as people ran away, leaving behind injured people and just running for their own lives. He didn't know why but it made him... angry. These people want to be heroes, but the moment it gets tough they run away completely incapable of even helping another person. What type of hero is that?
Katsuki stood before the zero pointer and felt a smile form on his face, not a smile that would calm a person down and reassure them, like All Might's smile did. His smile was born of pure malevolent glee that their was something big enough for him to test his quirk's limits on.
He'd show them what a hero is.
Katsuki turned around to look at the people running away and yelled at them. "HEY!!! STUPID EXTRAS, RUNNING AWAY LIKE THAT ISN'T VERY HERO-LIKE!!!" He then turned around and spoke only to himself, not realizing that someone heard him from where they were, buried under the rubble, only safe due to their quirk. " Let me show you what is."
He remembered the day he lost, he thought of it everyday. Katsuo had used his quirk in a way he had never thought of. Katsuki thought it would be easy to replicate after a little practice, but he couldn't form the sphere.
He didn't understand why he couldn't do it, and was starting to get frustrated with it. He tried and tried but he just couldn't form the sphere.
His anger at his inability to grow increased with no end in sight. Then, Katsuo, noticing his growing frustration, gave him advice.
He told Katsuki that his quirk needed more than just to be turned on to work. He told Katsuki that he had to control his quirk to then increase it's power.
At first Katsuki didn't listen, he wouldn't accept help from Katsuo. But, then, after months of failure, he tried it Katsuo's way.
Katsuki sighed at the memories of his training, stood tall, and readied his quirk. Starting by creating small explosions on each hand, he put them close to each other so that each hand created it's own miniature vortex, to form a sphere. He then started spinning it around so that the explosion was contained and slowly built up a charge with it.
The zero pointer started to swing it's fist at him, looking like it would hit him. The other examinees thought he would die.
Until he pointed his fingers at the robot's head. He closed his hands, his palms pushing the sphere of energy into a beam that shot out, releasing his own, albeit smaller, version of Katsuo's attack.
The beam of energy flashed for just a moment, then it hit the robot. The beam tore straight through the metal that covered the zero pointer, punching a hole straight through it's head. The head then started to emit smaller explosions, until it fell backwards and off the zero pointers body entirely.
Katsuki put his hands down by his sides, smoke radiating from his palms. Exhaustion flowed through his body like a river. Focusing on his quirk drained him. He then turned around to see the other examinees looking at him like he was some sort of god. He quickly removed their expression by yelling... choice words at them. He found that yelling at extras helped him feel invigorated.
The exam ended soon after with no one being majorly injured in his area, and Katsuki walked out without a single injury on him. When he went to the front of the building near the gates to wait for Katsuo and Izumi he was surprised to see neither of them so he waited for them. He wanted to brag about how he destroyed the giant robot to them.
He wouldn't admit it, but he cared for both of them. He didn't like Katsuo at first, he actually hated him at the start... But, he had grown to see him as a rival of sorts. Then, as something almost like a friend.
When Katsuo and Izumi reached the front gate, Katsuki was glad he had waited for them.
