Camila's povI woke to the sun shining in my eyes which only made me groan before blocking it with my hand, I stretched and yawned sitting up rubbing the sleep from my eyes. Being aware of my surroundings I sighed when I saw it. There laying on my bed was my outfit of the day, I shook my head as to why my father even bother getting help if i could do things myself.
Don’t get me wrong, i loved not doing things when I'm lazy but it sometimes gets to a point where i don’t do much for myself. Breakfast was always made, my bed was made every morning, the house was cleaned and spotless everytime and dinner was ready every night and cleaned up afterwards. It’s as if you were living in a hotel. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if my father hadn’t hired people to do the things normal living people would do for themselves. One being getting up and dressing yourself in the morning, that’s for sure.
Stretching a little more i stayed in bed a little longer and just went scrolled through out my phone, mainly because I felt too comfortable to want to get up at this time in the day. Rolling out of bed I dragged myself to the shower and brush my teeth before getting dressed and putting on some light makeup, heading down the stairs to the dining room.
“Ah your up i thought i would have to come get you” my father voice appeared as he typed away at his laptop drinking his coffee as his food sat untouched. I just perced my lips and sat down at the table that was made for 26 people and thanked Anna our maid, for the breakfast she was serving.
“I suggest you hurry and eat and meet me at the college of Miami U later on when you finsh“ my father said which confused me to no end, as i frowned at his words.
“Why there?”
“We’ll be meeting with Hansen's for the investment meeting and getting a tour in what I'll maybe be investing” he said not once looking up, I just sighed before beginning to eat my breakfast.
After a while my father drank the rest of his coffee and packed his things as i sat quietly and watched as he got ready to leave, telling me once more to hurry as he left with a slam at the door that was not very necessary at this time in the morning.
“You know dear he really does care for you” Anna said as she cleaned up my fathers mess.
“It just doesn’t seem like he does anymore … everything about him is related to business and image" I said just playing with my food now.
“You don’t believe that dear”
“Yeah well, if he did Mami and Papa would still be together” I said a little aggravated but then felt guilty for snapping at Anna who’s only trying to help. “sorry” I mumbled
“It’s alright, why don’t you get your things and head out while i clean up” I nodded and hugged her first thanking her for the breakfast.
As long as i can remember Anna’s been like a second mother to me and that I'm grateful. When my mother and father where gone to work she’d make sure me and Sofi went to bed and made us breakfast and helped us with our school work when our parents couldn’t. We were grateful to have someone like her looking out for us as well as my mother. But it would have been great if our own mother could have been able to do that instead of being so focused with work like our father was.
Getting my things I walked out of the house and made my way to the big SUV waiting outside and was greeted with Dan our long time personal driver.
“Morning Danny” I said with a smile as I hugged him good morning.
“Morning kid, hop in your father's waiting” he said opening the door for me.
The drive to the college was not very long as we made it to the school pretty quick, I put on my shades and hopped out of the car with much hesitation before i had to show my face. The thing about my father is his name is well known. So many people knew him which means a lot of people knew me and that caused unnecessary attention. People looked and stared, makeup assumptions, try to be friends with me for what I have and not for who I am. It was scary sometimes and sad even.
