Camila's pov
It seemed like for the first time in a long time, things were unexpected and new for the better.
Meeting all these new friends and now my first date.
Lauren looked amazing in her white blouse and long flowing hair. And I couldn't help but stare at her when she came to pick me up. She looked flawless but still casual. The way she looked so beautiful without trying.
But what really caught my attention was how little makeup she wore yet, still made her look so beautiful. And I might have been staring at her lips a little too long, I just couldn’t help it. They looked so full and soft and shine with the light lip gloss she wore.
Was that normal to think about? Or just plain creepy.
I have no idea but all i knew as i would love to have kissed those luscious lips. That thought in itself was something I wasn't used to for sure. Thinking about kissing someone. I will admit I loved being in her arms and when she held my hand and I might have stared at her lips a few times but I didn't think much past that. Or that it could be anything other then.
I couldn’t believe what she had done to make this date so special for me. No one’s ever gone out of there way to make something as simple as a date feel like i was on top of the world. And she was there right beside me.
We ate as much food as we could until our tummies were full, and talked and talked about everything and anything. Afterwards she managed to pull the table and set it aside as we laid in the massive tent together looking up at the stars.
Lauren laid next to me and played with my hand aimlessly as we both looked up at the stars shining above us. And I couldn't be anymore full or relaxed, with not so much as a worry on my mind. At this point the sun had gone down and the only light source was the twinkling lights and candles around us hung above us and around us in jars.
“Thank you" I whispered honestly because I didn't want to ruin the comfortable state we were in.
“For what?” Lauren said and sat up on her elbow looking down on me as her finger hooked on to one of mine and swung lightly.
“This entire night has been the most relaxed i’ve been since my dad left me to take over for a while” I said and looked into her big green eyes that made my heart jump with the amount of intensity they were filled with.
“Well then, I’m glad I could help,” she said and smiled at in the most warmest way as she hovered over me.
“It’s not just tonight, it’s more than that.” I said as I played with our hands, feeling my pulse race at the intense green eyes looking into my brown ones "You’ve basically been my rock since I met you and I can't thank you enough for that” I said and watched her smile almost bashfully.
“No that’s all you Camila. You’ve had that strength in you for a while now you just need a little help seeing it” she said and I bit my lip to hide how much that meant to me.
“Do you think i can do it?” I asked and saw Lauren look as if she were a confused puppy which made me chuckle a little “ I mean do you think i am capable of doing something like what my father does?”
“Well, that really depends on if you believe you can or can’t. There are people who think they can and can not do certain things, and they are usually right” she said and I had to think about that for a moment and I couldn't help but laugh out loud which made her join in.
“You stole that from will smith’s motivation speech” I said and that just made Lauren laugh even more.
“No I didn't” she protested in the midds of her laughter and she fell back onto the pillows next to me as we continued to banter.
