Why did we...

"You're new fella seems keen." Dad's phone was going off every 5 seconds, and it was beginning to give me a headache.
Dad just smiled, abandoning his paperwork and books to read the message. His smile grew even larger, and when I asked him why this was, he just shrugged at me, before hastily typing some soppy reply. I'm guessing, but judging by the goofy look on his face while doing so, I doubted that I was wrong.

"Really?" I asked him when he had finally placed the phone down. I'm actually surprised by this; I though I'd have to literally rip it out of his hands...

Dad just folded his arms, wearing a smug smile on his face. "Don't you have any friends, Ash? Or is your old dad your only pal?"

"No, it's not that, - I." Yes. At least for now anyway. At least after what I did. At least... At least until the truth came out...

BEEP! I felt the back of my arm vibrate. What?

"Guess you do have friends. Sorry, my bad." He was laughing now, and for odd reason, I found myself laughing with him.

"Anyway, go on now. Me and my... Friend have some catching up to do?"
Catching up?

"I'll see you tomorrow." Who'd want to see me? Oh god, maybe Nick told Luke about our little... Affair. No, I don't think Nick would do that; sure he was 'aggro' and complex but he wasn't the kind who would betray. He had experienced too much in his life to ever become something like that. Maybe it was Bonnie, informing me that I would meet her new 'fella' but wouldn't it make more sense to just tell/show me at school? Why would she want to do it tomorrow, on Saturday? Maybe she didn't have much to do, she sure wouldn't be the first I know that is usually bored out of their mind on the weekend (hint, hint).

As usual my mind began to drain out my energy, and I found myself falling into darkness until I heard a voice scream that dinner was ready, before swearing a couple of times. I guess I should've taken his profanity as a warning; I could barely swallow the tinniest chunk of pizza without having a coughing fit and as a result, having to tip down an entire content in a cup every time I tried to. In the end, I just gave up convincing myself that empty stomach was better than one that was about to spill out. I also gave myself a reminder that from now on I would keep an eye on the food, at least until Dad's little 'friend' stopped texting me anyway.
But in the meantime, I was trying to get the disgusting after-taste out of my mouth, with little result. Luckily for me my eyes began to shut and before I knew it, I was in bliss.

"What? How the fuck could you... Nick she's my girlfriend! How could you..."

"I'm sorry, man. But nothing happened, I swear."

"Luke please." I was literally on my hands and knees, begging for forgiveness. Luke just turned his back to me, slowly walking away taking my heart along with him. I looked up to Nick for comfort, but he just shook his head, following Luke. I could feel punches all over my body, until the sensation made me go numb. It wasn't long before i was enveloped in loud, booming punches, hurting my ears. It was like it would never stop - it was like...

BANG!
BANG!
BANG!

"Wha - " my skin was sweaty and my back was chilly. It took me a while to realise that there was no Luke to comfort me. Oh god I miss him already.

BANG!
BANG!
BANG!

Oh great. Guess I won't be missing him for much longer.
"Let's get this over with," I said to myself, scrambling out of the bed and making my way to the front door. I really couldn't be bothered to change into normal clothes so instead I was in my cute pink fluffy onesie. Hopefully Luke wouldn't mind; he has seen me like this before anyway.
I opened the door and immediately regretted my lazy choice. It wasn't Luke or Nick, or Bonnie.
It wasn't even Carver. It was...
