Hey, this is going to be the last chapter for a few days because I'm going to London to visit my relatives for Christmas and I WONT HAVE WIFI OMIGOD I HATE LIFE 😒 haha, but yeah I probably will update on the 28th at latest, I'm not too sure when I'm coming back. I won't say much, but after this chapter the real fun begins... 😏
Anyway, enjoy and have a happy Christmas yall 😈 or not if you're like me and not really feeling the spirit this year (yeah... I understand)
Anyway sit back, relax and enjoy.
PEACE OUT 😜
The bus halted at its last stop. It gave one last sigh in its wheels before calling it day. As I hopped off the vehicle along with Bonnie and the other occupants, I took it upon myself to look up at the view. The sky was virtually blocked out by the countless amount of tall buildings, presumably clothes shops. I looked to Bonnie to see her reaction, but her face resembled normality. Well, that is until she caught my expression anyway.
"What? Don't go out often?" That was an understatement.
"Of course I do, just not... Here." I replied, my gaze still focused on the tall rectangles of concrete some of which seemed to be in arms reach. Others seemed to be permanently embedded into the view.
"Well... I guess that's not exactly a bad thing... Considering."
"What?" Because I honestly didn't know if that was a compliment, statement or insult. Though I'd go for the last one. Realist nature ugh...
"It means we can figure out your style - go a bit wild if we have to!" And I again misunderstood her intentions. Was she trying to say I didn't look good? Was she trying to cover up her insults with pretty convincing phrases? What exactly did she mean by the term, 'wild?'. All these thoughts and scenarios were already poisoning my calm state of mind. I had to stop...
"Yeah, okay. Sure." I replied, hastily walking over to one of the nearby buildings in a bid to distract my well, 'distracting' mind. Bonnie had pace a fast jog to catch up with me.
"Hey, not so fast. Plenty of clothes to go round, y'know?" If only she knew what was really on my mind... If only...
"You coming?" Bonnie called, and I suddenly realised that it was no me lagging behind. Damn it.
"Yeah, okay. Sure."
***
"Look at all these clothes! Oh god Ashley, this is... Heaven!"
Huh, heaven my arse. It was a shop full of cut up fabrics. What's so exciting about that? Then again, I'm not the girly-girl type. I never really played with barbies or bratz, I was more likely to be found outside, running around, in my treehouse, sometimes playing catch with the neighbou --- no, I can't remember them. Anyway, back to the subject... It wasn't that I hated fashion, it just that it wasn't my top priority --- or anyway near there if that.
"Ashley! C'mon, what you waitin for?" Bonnie called from the lift, something edging at her voice. I couldn't tell if it was annoyance or impatience.
I sprinted over, heavily grateful that she had opted for this sort of transport. Well, that is until we both were literally squeezed into a corner due to two pushchairs clamping up the space. But still, not much walk involved, right?
As soon as the loft opened I allowed myself to take a deep breath. In... And out... And --- back in?
My eyes laid upon the dazzling display of tops, trousers, jeans, accessories, coats, bags and... Dresses.
"Whoa." I exclaimed, feeling the breath of astonishment escape my mouth. I can see why this is every girls' 'haven'.
"I know, Ashley --- it's --- it's beautiful! Whoa, would you look at this..." I could feel my mouth smiling as she held a crimson dress, equipped with a small rose at its side.
