Concept: you and Gaten have been friends forever as you met on Broadway. He went to acting and you went to music. For years you watched him get hurt by girls who were just constantly using him for clout. One day you decide to write a song about how you feel and then he hears it and realizes that he likes you too.
Your POV
After years of waiting for Gaten to look at me and realize that I'm in love with him I decided to just write a song about it. It's called Sunflower because it an old nickname he gave me because I love the color yellow and I like nature. Right now I'm getting dressed so I can go hang out with Gaten and the other stranger things kids.

Once I was dressed I called my uber then pack all my stuff into my bag (phone,wallet,charger,water bottle,ect.) By the time I was done the uber was here so I went to the kitchen to say bye to my parent(s) and left the house, locking the door behind me.
*Skip uber ride*
I knocked on the door to Millie's house and Jack opened it
"Oh hey jack, I didn't know you were coming." I said happily as I hugged him, he smiled.
"Yeah, finn invited the losers." He explained as we walked into millie's living room. I greeted everyone happily. Well everyone except Gaten because he wasn't there yet
"So y/n, I heard you have a song dropping today?" Chosen asked
"Oh yeah, I do. It should be dropping in a few hours." I explained and everyone nodded
Then there was a knock at the door
"Not it!" Everyone yelled except me. I shook my head walking to the door. It was Gaten and some girl. I held back a sigh and forced a smile.
"Hey G." I said hugging him We walked back to the living room where I shot a look at Caleb and he sighed.
"So...Gaten whose this?" Caleb asked looking at me sympathetically
"This is my new girlfriend Lizzy!" He said happily. We all introduced ourselves then we decided to watch a movie. The whole time the movie was playing Gaten and Lizzy were being all cute and cuddly so I couldn't help but stare at them in anger.
*time skip to after the movie*
"Y/n your song is about to drop!" Millie said happily. I just laughed. We all sat around my phone and Finn started the count down

Once the song was over everyone cheered except Gaten and Lizzy
"That was so beautiful." Sophia said hugging me
"Thanks guys."
"So...um who was it about?" Noah asked awkwardly I shot him a look and shook my head.
"Obviously it was about Gaten, idiot." Lizzy snapped angrily as Noah looked down sadly mumbling apologetically
"Get out!" Millie said glaring at her
"Gate-" she started but was cut off by Finn
"Look, Karen! We want you out!" He yelled
"Finn that's not her name." Jack whispered
"What? Really? You look just like a Karen...." Finn said laughing with Jack. Everyone looked at them for a moment before Sophia and Sadie walked Lizzy outside. I finally managed to look at Gaten and he was already looking at me.
"We, uh....we need to talk." He said I nodded leading him to the kitchen.
"Look Sunfl- y/n, I never ment to hurt you." He explained
"I know G." I whispered
"It was a beautiful song." He said scratching the back of his neck.
"Thank you." I sighed
"I love you." He blurted
"What?" I asked softly
"I love you. I'm sorry I never said anything, I'm sorry I tried to replace you with other girls, I'm sorry I did all of those things." He said grabbing my hands
"It's ok G. I forgive you."
"It's really not. But let me do one thing right. Sunflower what do you say, me and you? Do you wanna be my girlfriend? I'll treat you right. I promise." He said basically begging. I nodded kissing him.
"Of course G. I love you too by the way." I whispered and all of our friends came around the corner cheering happily. We went back to the livingroom to talk and hang out. I of course sat down next to Gaten. I smiled happily
"Oh yeah um, Sunflowers are way better than stupid roses. I think there my favorite." He whispered in my ear and I smiled.
