Chapter 13 - The Trigger

"He's not telling me anything. Not even a damn thing."

"Wala ring alam si Terrence at alam naman naming pati si Gwen."

"Teka lang, mamaya na kayo dumaldal." Biglang sabi ni Leni at nakita namin si Vera na tumayo sa harap ng pinto ng opisina ni Glen.

We heard Vera muttered Mystivatis and she sat down on the couch in front of me seconds later. Leni who was beside her was almost lying down on the couch. Ivan was leaning on the couch Leni and Ivan was occupying. Then I heard Senri's stifled laughter from beside me, probably because of Leni's position.

"So?" Glen said while sitting on his swivel chair with both of his feet on his table. "What's our plan? Kahit gaano katagal at kadalas akong sumama kay George wala talaga s'yang sinasabi."

"Same situation. Sinubukan ko ring tanungin si Lieutenant General pero wala. Tinakasan ako." Sabi naman ni Ivan.

"What about Doctor Shiela?" Tanong ko at napatingin kami kay Vera.

Doctor Shiela is the Head of the Medical Department but she's not just any doctor of the army. On top of being a Department Head, she's also a part of Lieutenant General George's own squad, she's also a Halfblood, and Vera's older sister. General Gillies already went back to Rubellite to assist the other Generals so Lieutenant General George only has Doctor Shiela to confide to because the other four members of his Squad is also in Rubellite.

"None. Pero ang sabi sa akin ni Doc. Shiela pinapaghanda s'ya ng Lieutenant General para sa first transformation ng mga may Werewolf genes."

"What?" Sabay-sabay naming tanong matapos ng sinabi ni Vera.

Buntong hininga lang sinagot ni Vera. If the Lieutenant General wants to prepare all the soldiers with werewolf genes-

"Hold on, does that mean the new Halfbloods are included?!"

Lahat kami napatingin kay Leni na napaayos ng upo at wala pang isang segundo na dinisable ni Vera yung spell sa office ni Glen para hindi kami marinig sa labas. Halos patakbo kaming lumabas ng opisina ni Glen dahil sa realization na 'yon.

Leni and Vera decided to go and see Doctor Shiela while Senri and Ivan went to where the new Halfbloods are. And Glen and I decided to go to the administration building that became the Intelligence Department.

We only had to take the stairs because our offices were located at the same building. But before we can even look for the Lieutenant General, one of the members of the Intelligence Department called us.

"What?" Glen asked with a grunt.

"Um...the necklace that you gave us to inspect, Major." The Intelligence Department member nervously said.

Sandali akong nag-isip para magdesisyon kung alin ang uunahin. Oo kailangan naming makumpirma kung kasama nga yung bagong Halfbloods sa plano ng Lieutenant General. Attaining the wolf form as a Halfblood is not as easy as breathing. But knowing what kind of spell does the necklace have to keep them from burning is just as important.

"Go," sabi ko kay Glen.

Hindi agad umalis si Glen at tiningnan ako na parang kinukumpirma yung sinabi ko. Kaya naman tumango ako at ngumiti ng bahagya. Doon lang s'ya naglakad palayo pero bago s'ya lumiko ay nilingon pa n'ya ako.

Sinundan ko naman na yung member ng Intelligence Department papasok sa isang room. May iilang naka-uniform din doon pero normal coat and tie ang suot nila na may logo ng Ruby Imperial Army sa breast pocket. Lumingon halos lahat nang pagpasok namin at dahil hindi naman sila soldiers, yumuko lang sila ng bahagya sa akin na tinanguan ko lang.
