Some of them are almost as strong as First Class Vampires. Shit. This is bad.

"At least one alive!" Ulit ko para marinig ng mga kasama namin. If some of them are strong to take one down or brave enough to actually face them without doubts.

Nawala sa kamay ko yung radio dahil sa pagdaplis ng kamay ng Ruby soldier turned Vampire na nasa harap ko.

"Screw keeping them alive! At least get their fucking blood!"

Sa narinig kong utos ni Glen, agad kong hinatak paalis sa scabbard yung katana ko. At dahil may nasa harapan ko, dumaplis yung katana ko sa leeg n'ya at humiwalay yung ulo n'ya sa katawan n'ya. Halos sunud-sunod sila sumugod kaya panay yung pagsipa, suntok, at putol ko ng ulo.

Pero nang may narinig akong nabasag, may nalanghap akong amoy. There's more of them. Damn.

"Keep those people safe!" Sigaw ko sa mga halos natulala at kumikilos lang kapag muntik na sila maatake.

Nang makita kong may papalapit na sa mga taong nasa home furniture shop, sinipa ko yung kaharap ko at tumakbo doon. Sa paglapit ko ay agad kong winasiwas yung katana ko sa may leeg.

"Damn!"

I felt a weight pushing me down from the back. But even though I wanted to hold out my hand to keep myself from falling, my face had already met the floor.

The smell of bloodlust was stronger now that one of the sources was lying on my back.

Damn it, my senses are a little hazy.

Just as I could feel a fang about to graze my nape, the weight on my back was gone. With the help of the light passing through the glass above, I saw a shadow looming over from above me and I felt myself being lifted up from the ground.

As I felt something soft against my back, a low growl was all that was audible. The Ruby soldier turned Vampires looked frozen as well as everyone else aside from me.

Darkness nearly covered the place as the sun set and the moon rose up in the sky.

"Major Sena? Anong nangyari?" Narinig kong tanong ni Ivan mula sa earpiece. "We have some weird occurence here. Vampires wearing the Ruby Imperial Army uniform."

"I know," buntong hininga ko, "all troops listen. Those vampires wearing our army's uniform are the soldiers who hasn't returned from rescuing survivors. Their strength's somewhere between Second Class and First Class Vampires."

"I'm experiencing that." Rinig kong sabi ni Vera at base sa paghinga n'ya, nakikipaglaban s'ya.

"They're annoyingly fast." Dagdag ni Senri.

"I'll collect their blood. I have blood collector bullets with me. And, I haven't heard Lieutenant Colonel Glen's curses for the past 40 seconds."

"Oh yeah, about him..." halos nakangiwing sabi ko at tiningnan si Glen na isa-isang pinupugutan ng ulo yung Turned "...he transformed."

"What?!"

"You heard me, Lieutenant Colonel Glen transformed into his wolf form." Ulit ko.

It's been a long time since I last saw him in his wolf form but I know his wolf form very well. Black furred back that lightens until it's white on his stomach and limbs. Perked ears and a pair of eyes with a golden hint like most Werewolves. But something is different with his eyes, a glint that only a few Werewolves have.

Dominance, confidence, and power. Three characteristics that only alphas of big packs has.

Nawala naman yung atensyon ko kay Glen dahil sa naamoy ko. More Turned vampires, a First Class Vampire, and a Royal Class Vampire.
