24- snack run

Izuku POV

Dabi just left to get us a few sodas while I look around for a few snacks. I look through the rows of chips and pick out a bag of Dabi's favorite type and then my favorite. There was a lot of candy to choose from, it was pretty hard to decide. Wait a second........what am I even saying? When in doubt, pocky. When not in doubt, pocky. Always, pocky.

I traveled down the aisle to find the section with boxes of pocky. Found it! Let's see.........strawberry.....almond crush.....banana chocolate.....cookies and cream.....do they seriously not have the original chocolate pocky? That's all I really want. I decided to dig through the rows of boxes so that I could find the flavor I want at the back of the shelves. Of course I couldn't. Great, just great.

I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms, letting out a sigh. I guess that I'll just wait for Dabi to get back. But then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something. It was a small box. A small red box, on the very top of a shelf. It was......chocolate pocky?!?!? I. Must. Have. It.

I scurried over to where I spotted it and stood on my tippy toes, trying to reach it, to no luck. I sighed in defeat and went back to my previous position and leaning up against the wall, with a feeling of defeat. Then, out of nowhere, something shot right past my face. I looked to my right and saw......tape? My eyes trailed up and saw that it was connected to the box of pocky I was trying to reach. My eyes trailed off into the other direction and......

"Dude! I think I got it!"

"No way bro! That quirk of yours is seriously awesome!"

Sero and Kaminari came out from around the corner to claim their box of pocky. Well, shit. I guess it's time to have an anxiety attack from seeing my classmates outside of school.

Sero tugged on his tape to pull the pocky into his hands. "Nice, we got the last one!" He and Kaminari began to walk away but they just had to spot me out of the corner of their eyes.

"Hey Midoriya! Didn't expect to see you here!" Kaminari exclaimed.

"O-Oh. Hey." I managed to stutter out, eyes glued to my feet.

"What's up dude!?" Sero greeted me with excitement.

"N-Nothing much. Just here t-t-to get a few s-snacks. H-How about you?"

"Same here! Bakugo wanted us to pick up a few snacks on our way to his house. Were you coming too?"

"U-Uh uhm actually........I wasn't invited"

"Seriously? Are you sure? He invited every guy from our class except Mineta. He had to have invited you. Aren't you two childhood friends or something?" Sero asked.

"Oh....uhm....yeah, or something....heh heh" I started to laugh nervously, having no clue how to handle the situation. My anxiety definitely didn't calm down when I felt who I thought to be a stranger's arm around my shoulders.

"Hey Izu, I'm back. Who's this?"

Ah, the voice calmed me down though. I turned around to face Dabi and saw that he was glaring daggers at Kaminari and Sero. Wait.......is he trying to be protective? Is he jealous??? Omigodomigodomigod SO CUTE!!! As much as I would have loved to have a bit of fun with the situation I'm currently in, I didn't want to make Dabi worry.
