I looked over at Mimi, Ruth and Jace who looked at me with concern. I really love my friends. "No. Tonight we are here to have fun. And he's not going to stop us. Let's just stay and enjoy our night." I told them and they smiled at me. A waiter came over and he took our orders and served our drinks. But I couldn't help but look over at George from time to time. They looked like they were having a pretty deep conversation about something. But it's not any of my business.

I guess I was staring a bit too much because George looked over at me and his eyes widened. I quickly turned to Ruth and joined in on the conversation, which I had no clue what it was about. He quickly got up and walked towards the our table. Oh Gosh. "Hello Brielle. It's great seeing you here." He smiled and i gave him a small smile back. "Yeah." I looked over at Jace, who was cringing. I knew I was going to slap him later. "Can we talk?" He asked, and I shook my head. "Not now. I'm with my friends right now. But it's the weekend now, so maybe you could come over tomorrow?" He bit his lip as a frown appeared on his face. "A-Alright. That's fine." He nodded to my friends and walked away. The second he turned around, I facepalmed myself.

We all decided not to bring up that encounter ever again. And that was probably a good idea. Finally, our food came and we ate and talked about what was going on at everybody else's jobs. Mimi was dating another rockstar named Freddie Mercury. She was telling us how they went on a date and they were discussing marriage, but he didn't want to actually propose until he found the perfect ring for her. I was really happy for her. Then it actually hit me. I'm the only single one out of my friends. Ouch. The conversation continued. Ruth talked about how great work was for her as a theater actress and how her and her boyfriend Ashton were doing. They seemed great. I was also happy for them. And Jace talked about how him and his boyfriend Cole Jenkins. I really was happy for all of them, but it made me realize how alone I was. But it's not about me right now. It's about my friends, who deserve nothing but the best.

After we all finished our dinner, Jace payed the whole bill (I love that guy) and we all went back home since Jace and Mimi had work tomorrow, and Ruth had rehearsal. I thanked them all for taking me out and I headed to bed.

The next morning, I woke up and freshened up before throwing on something casual. I was going to be alone for the whole day. FUN.

I ate some cereal for breakfast and sat down, turning on the tv

I ate some cereal for breakfast and sat down, turning on the tv. A few minutes later, the bell rang. So I got up and headed over to the door and I gasped when I saw George's face. "Good morning." He said. I totally forgot that I told him that he could come over and we could talk. "Uh Good morning." I invited him in and he walked in. We both sat down on the sofa and he let out a cough, trying to ease up the tension that was in the room.

"Have I done something to upset ye?" He asked, and I shook my head. "No! Of course not!" "Then why have ye been acting so weird around me?" I could tell by his expression that he just wanted to know. "The other night... it was amazing. It's just... I guess I wasn't ready even though I said I was... and you know... we really aren't that close so... uh.. I guess the unfamiliarity of sleeping with someone I'm not exactly close to... kind of scared me." I finally let out and he smiled. "So it's not me fault?" I laughed softly. "No it's not. It's all on me." He pulled me into a hug. "I've been so worried! I even had to call my ex girlfriend last night to ask her. I needed a woman's perspective on the situation, and that's what she told me, but I wanted to hear it from you."

So that's why he was out with Pattie last night. "So that's what last night was about?" He nodded and I let out a sigh of relief. Not like I was jealous or anything...  "We talked about that and a few other things. Speaking of that, are you coming to the dinner the boys and I are having later?" I shook my head. "Why not? The boys and their gals are going to be there. Come on, I'll take ye." Wait. Did he just ask me to be his date? Or did that mean something else? "Um... No thanks. It should be for you boys only." I got up and went to the kitchen to get a sip of water. He followed me and pouted. "I don't want to be the only one with no date. Ringo has Maureen, Paul has Linda, John has Cynthia, and me. Brielle, will you please come as my date?"

I could've sworn my heart stopped for a second. I spit my water out and I looked at him. "You want me to go to the dinner, as your date?" He nodded and his smile grew. "Please?" Well since he begged so nicely... "Alright. I'll go with you." He hugged me again. "Great! I'll see you at 7." He kissed my cheek and ran out of the house. WHAT JUST HAPPENED?

After a few hours, when everyone came back home, I told them what had happened between George and I that afternoon. They were shocked. "Baby Brielle has a date!" Mimi pulled me off of the couch. "What are you sitting here for? Go get ready!" "But I still have 2 more-" "GO!" They all shouted at me, and I ran to my room. What was I going to wear? Everyone strutted into my room. Ruth had brought her makeup, Mimi had brought some stuff and accessories for my hair, and Jace went into my closet to see what I had. "Aww thanks guys." They quickly got to work. Once I finished, I looked in the mirror and I gasped in shock. I looked amazing! Jace, Ruth and Mimi were wiping a few fake tears as they looked at me. "Wow..." Ruth said in awe.

I went down the stairs

I went down the stairs. 7 o'clock came a lot sooner than I thought. The door bell rang and I went to open the door, but Mimi and Ruth told me to go back upstairs. "Why?" "You have to do the dramatic walk-down-the-stairs that all romantic movies have!" Mimi responded, and I rolled my eyes. "No!" "GO!" I sighed and I went back up the stairs. They opened the door and smiled as George came in. "Is Brielle ready?" He asked them, and they nodded. "She's more than ready. BRIELLE! George is here!" Jace called, and i couldn't help but roll my eyes and I came down from the stairs, and George watched in awe. Mimi, Ruth and Jace were all enjoying this WAY too much. "You look amazing." He said and he kissed the back of my hand. "Thank you. You look great as well." I couldn't help but blush. We said goodbye to everyone, and George went to go open the door to the car for me, and as I walked towards the car, something hit my back.

I turned around and Jace was pointing to the floor. So I looked down and it was 3 condoms on the floor. "Really?" I mouthed to him and he laughed. I just picked them up and put them in my purse and I went to the car.
