I headed to bed and waited for George to call, like he promised he said he would every night. But tonight, he didn't call. Maybe he was busy. I didn't want to seem too clingy so I closed my eyes as I waited for him to call, but he never did, so I decided to go to sleep.
The next morning, Adam came back to the house and we were watching television when I heard about it. "The woman spotted with George Harrison a few weeks ago, his supposed girlfriend, was caught out with a mystery man. Is this the end of their relationship?" I hoped to heaven that it wasn't. But seeing this on TV meant George knew about it.
"Again, I'm really sorry." "It's okay, Adam." I sat next to him and we tried to catch each other up on what's been happening in our lives for the last couple of years. It sounded to me that he was great, just lonely. I definitely have to introduce him to the girls and Jace.
But other than that, nothing really happened that day, until I was at home and the phone rang. "Hello?" I asked, and I heard sniffling. "Get out of me 'ouse." George said through the phone. "W-Wait what?" I said, in complete shock. "I saw the news. I saw 'im. Go live with 'im, I don't care." His sniffles became a bit louder. "George, you're not going to even let me explain? It's not what it looks like." "I don't care. Get out of me 'ouse! When I come back, I want all of yer things gone." He slammed the phone as he hung up. I winced and cringed as I placed the phone back onto the receiver.
I started packing my things as I cried softly. He didn't even give me a chance to speak. But it didn't matter. It was over.
I called the girls to tell them what happened. "So can I come back?" There was a silence over the phone until Ruth spoke up. "We already gave your room to someone else. W-We are really sorry..." I gasped and my eyes watered more. "Oh.. Alright. It's fine." "You can sleep in my room and I'll take the couch!" Mimi said, but I shook my head. "No it's alright. I couldn't ask you to do that."
So I had no where to go. Except to Adam. So I called him and told him everything. "I am so incredibly sorry! I didn't mean to ruin your relationship!" I began to sob over the phone. He quickly hung up and I dropped the phone. He wouldn't even listen to what I had to say, and now he's gone. Fine. It's his loss, not mine. I got up and wiped my tears, and headed to the kitchen for some water.
Then my- the doorbell rang and I opened it, and Adam pulled me into a hug, and I hugged him back. "How are you feeling?" I shrugged and looked at all my belongings in bags. "You can stay at my place. Come on." He began to take my bags to his car, and I grabbed a piece of paper and wrote "Here's my key." And placed my key to his place on the piece of paper and locked the door before leaving. I watched the house disappear from my view as Adam drove away from it. It didn't have to be this way. Everyone could be happy if he just listened to me. But he wanted me out, so that's that.
We got to Adam's apartment, and it was beautiful. He really made some money off of being an actor and musician. He showed me to the room I would be staying in, and I have to say. I was really impressed. I don't think I was going to miss G-G-G... Ge.. Geor-George's house anymore. That was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
DECEMBER 13, 1965
It had been a week since he told me to leave and had to move in with my good friend, Adam. And living here wasn't bad at all. He woke me up with breakfast and we hung out. But I woke up today feeling a bit different. The boys were coming back today, so I knew I had to go back to work soon. And I really didn't want to, for obvious reasons.
But the day was here. I got up and got ready for the day. Once I finished, I was greeted by an amazing smelling breakfast. "Thanks, Takoda." He smiled at me before he started cleaning up in the kitchen and I ate. "I'll bring you to work if you'd like." He said with a sweet smile on his face, and I blushed. "You are the sweetest, you know that?" He flipped his hair and smiled. "I know. You didn't have to tell me that." We both laughed and enjoyed breakfast.
We later hopped into his car and he drove me to work. I was nervously biting my lip. "It will be alright. If you need anything, just give me a call." He rubbed my knee and I smiled. "Thanks, A." A was a new nickname I gave him, short for Adam. We soon got to the office and I gulped when I saw the lights on, and the boys walked out of the office and looked directly at me and Adam.
"Ahh... look who showed up. Here comes the cheat and her Prince Charmin'." John acknowledged, and I felt my jaw clench. I tried to walk past them, but Paul stopped me. "Ye called me out for almost cheating, and yet ye went and just grabbed yerself another man when George was away on tour. What a hypocrite." Ringo just frowned at me. "How could you do somethin' like that?" And George didn't even say a word. He just looked at me, and when our eyes met, his eyes looked away from me and began to glare at Adam.
I pushed past all of them and joined Brian in the office. "Hey! How was tour?" I asked, hoping he wouldn't say anything about what was going on. "You broke him. The concerts we had for the past week have been awful. At least to me. And it's all because of you and your little fling with Mr. Pocahontas with the luscious locks!" My eyes widened and I moved away from him. Him too? They were are really mad at me without hearing my side of the story! "Fine! It's whatever. I QUIT!"
His eyes widened and he looked at me. "Wait! Now let's not make any rushed decisions. Let's talk about this." "Now you want to talk?! I've wanted to talk and tell you all what really happened! But no one wants to listen and now you all are just assuming things that aren't true. I thought out of all people, you all should know that tabloids and paparazzi just take something and make it into something it's not! No! I QUIT! I'm done!" I stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind me, and walking outside. The boys were all talking- well more like yelling at Adam, and I walked over to Adam and walked with him to his car. "Let's go."
"Where are ye goin? Yer just goin' to run away with yer little boyfriend?" John asked, as he watched us climb into the car. "I quit. I won't ever have to see your faces again, and you won't have to see mine." "Woah.. wait! We need yer 'elp around 'ere! Ye can't just leave like that!" Paul said, and I laughed. Adam looked over at me as if I was crazy. And George looked at me with worry. "Now you want to act like you all care? You all just assumed that whatever the tabloids and paparazzi had to say was true. Maybe it wasn't what it looked like. Have you all ever thought of that? None of you were willing to hear my side of the story! But you all were so quick to bash me! I thought you boys would know what it's like when the paparazzi and tabloids turn something into something its not, but apparently not! SoI don't need this. Goodbye." I rolled my window up and turned to Adam.
He really blamed himself for all of this. And it wasn't his fault. "Please don't go..." George said as he walked towards the car and looked at me through the window, and I could hear his soft voice through the glass. I waved at him and Adam began to drive away. When we were far enough, I felt the tears build up in my eyes. Adam had tears in his eyes as well. "I should've never invited you out. I'm so sorry."
