"Come on, Roo!" I called out to my friend, Ruth, as I waited for her to finish getting ready. It was my first day on the job as Brian Epstein's assistant. And if you don't know who Brian Epstein is, he's the manager for The Beatles. I had known Brian for a few years, and we were friends. After I had recently lost my job as a vet, he offered me something else in the meantime to pay bills. So now, I had to wait for Ruth because the studio was on the way to where Ruth was going.
While I waited, Millie aka Mimi, had just finished getting ready for work and she came out of her room and headed towards the kitchen. On her way there, she looked over at me and smiled. "Good morning, Bri! And good luck on your first day!" She said as she grabbed an apple and quickly headed out. I said goodbye to her, and once I did, Jace left his room and headed towards the kitchen, and I followed.
"I hope you have a wonderful first day! And I'm so sorry you had to get laid off from the office. I'm going to miss you." He said and hugged me before blowing her a kiss and leaving.
"Alright! I'm done! I'm done! You can stop rushing me now!" Ruth said as she ran out of the bathroom with her hair and makeup done. Her hair was in a loose bun, with a few loose, curly strands on her face. We ran towards the car and quickly got in. I couldn't help but look at my watch every 5 minutes and anxiety rushed over me. I can't be late on my first day! It would look so bad! Please... I can't be late! I continued to repeat to myself, and luckily, Ruth dropped me off sooner than I thought. I said goodbye to her and rushed towards the door.
Okay... Deep Breaths. I was nervous because it was my first day. But also because this was going to be my first time meeting the boys. I've been a fan of The Beatles since their first album "Please Please Me" came out. So I really didn't want to mess this up. Especially because so many girls would love to be in my position, but here I am. I have to make a good impression. So I look at the coffee in my hand that I picked up on my way here, and I took another deep breath as I walked in.
I opened the door and looked up, trying to calm myself down. AHH! I screamed as my body hit the floor and my coffee spilled everywhere. I missed a huge step and I fell down. I was helped up by a pair of hands, and I looked up to see who it was. "Brian!" I said, and once I got up, I hugged him. "Hello, Bri! It's nice to meet you! I hope you're okay, though. Someone should really put a sign on the door." He said, and I blushed, feeling extremely embarrassed. "Yeah I'm sorry about that." He began to clean up the spilled coffee, and I tried to help him. At least no one else sa- I gasped when I saw 8 eyes staring at me and chatting amongst themselves.
The blush began to become darker as I realized that they saw everything. The Beatles watched me fall over. Is it too late to run back home and cry? Brian and I had finished cleaning and I picked up my bag from the floor. "Boys, I'd like you to meet Brielle Anderson. My assistant. Thank God. This was long overdue." He rubbed his temples dramatically and it made me laugh.
Ringo greeted me first. He walked over to me with a huge, wide smile on his face. " 'Ello love! I'm Richard, but everyone called me Ringo. It's nice to meet ye!" He said, very enthusiastically, and it made me smile widely. Maybe this won't be so hard. Paul greeted me next, with a smirk playing on his lips, and he quickly grabbed my hand and placed a kiss on the back of it. "'Ello, my sweet. Me name's Paul. Paul McCartney." His voice was soft and smooth, and it made my heart flutter. "Move, Paul! It's me turn!" John said, and he pushed Paul out of the way.
He looked at me up and down with a smile on his face, then his eyes met mine. I love all of them, but John's always been my favorite, and also George. " 'Ello, darling. The name's John Lennon. Do you like whales? Because we can go hump back at my place." I gasped as my eyes widened. His remark made a slight chuckle escape from Paul's mouth. I didn't really know how to respond, and my body froze in the moment. "I think you broke her..." Paul mumbled to John as they stared at me.
"Sod off, guys. Leave the poor gal alone." George interrupted, and he rubbed my arm softly. "Are you alright?" I nodded like an idiot, which made George laugh slightly. "Don't mind them. They're just being idiots right now. Me name's George Harrison." He held his hand out, and I shook it. "Now that everyone's acquainted, we can get started on the album! Let's go boys!" Brian said, and the boys all headed out of the lobby and into the actual studio.
I found a seat in the room and I met some of the music producers and engineers. Brian sat down next to me and rubbed my arm reassuringly. "Don't mind the boys. Especially John. They are really normal, sweet boys under that facade they put on." I smiled at him and looked over at the boys. John was looking at me and he winked at me, which made me blush. George looked at me, then back at John before slapping his arm softly and telling him to focus.
My first day wasn't so bad! I think I could get used to this.
THE END!
(I did change the book story although the characters are pretty much the same. I just wanted a different storyline, so that's what I'm doing now. It will hopefully be more interesting.)
