-1977 (2 years later)-
"Mommy, can I help you feed Noelle?" Zuri asked, as she looked at her 18 month old sister in her booster seat.
"Sure. Just sit down and I'll give you her food." I washed my hands as George marched in through the front door.
"Hi Baba!" Zuri ran and greeted him near the door.
"Baba!" Danny repeated as he ran to greet his father as well.
George laughed as he hugged his kids and kissed their foreheads. "Hey, loves."
Noelle noticed all the commotion, and began to whine as she watched. "Go on. Go say hi to daddy." I took her out of her booster seat and she stumbled on the way, but she walked over to him and dropped herself in his arms.
George quickly swept her off her feet and picked her up as the kids followed him into the kitchen, where I was preparing dinner.
"Hey Brielle. I had a little trouble, but I managed to bring them here." George smiled, before placing a quick kiss on my lips.
"Where are they?" I asked excitedly, as I looked behind George, and there stood my good friends. Jace, Mimi and Ruth with their partners.
"Hi guys!" I ran to them and we all shared a big group hug.
"I missed you so much!" Jace exclaimed before looking behind me.
"I swear, every time I step foot into this house, there's another kid. They're multiplying!" He said in shock as he looked at Noelle in George's arms.
"Hi!" Zuri interrupted, and their eyes widened. "Zo, is that you? You've gotten so big!" Ruth said, acknowledging the 6 year old. Zuri couldn't help but blush in embarrassment from all the attention.
Danny giggled softly, capturing Mimi's attention. "You've gotten big as well!" She smiled widely, picking Danny up and hugging him. Because he was now 4 and his arms were tiny, he could only wrap his arms around her neck as he hugged her.
"And this is Noelle Bella Harrison." George introduced Noelle, and the other three smiled with affection in their eyes. "Watch. The next time we stumble back into this house, there will be 4 other kids here." Jace said, reaching out to see if Noelle would come to him, but she shied away from the opportunity, and shook her head and hid her face in the crook of George's neck.
"That's alright. You're just as shy as your mother." He rubbed her beck softly, and they came farther into the kitchen. "We really needed this. I haven't seen you guys in so long!" I giggled happily, as I showed them to their seats.
"It's been forever! We have so much to catch up on!" I was caught off-guard when Ash, Ruth's husband, walked in with two baby carriers. And he was followed by Freddie, who had one.
"Well, we had kids as well. Not as many as you, but we tried." She laughed softly, and took a baby out of the carrier and held him, while Ash held the other.
Mimi smiled and held the last baby and smiled. "This one is mine."
I sat in shock, which turned to excitement and glee. I never felt so happy for them.
"I have to go. I'll be in the studio." George handed Noelle to me and waved at everyone before leaving.
Zuri sat on Jace's lap with Danny on his other. "We have to go out and do something together. All of us." He smiled, and we all agreed.
We continued to catch up with each other, until Jace's phone continued to ring. He excused himself to go answer it, and when he came back, there was a huge smile on his face. "My file for adoption went through! I'm gonna have a baby too!" We all congratulated him, and gave him a huge hug.
After dinner, we all went to the living room to watch a movie, and then everyone went to their rooms, and went to bed.
And when I did, I waited for George to come, but he never did. So I threw a robe on, and looked around the house. "George?" I called out, and found him eating a sandwich while he seemed to be deep in thought.
"George.. what are you doing?" I giggled softly as I sat next to him and took a bite of his sandwich.
"I'm just thinking."
"About?"
"When we first met." He smiled softly as he chewed.
"Why?"
"We were so young... and fab." He chuckled. "I guess it just occurred to me that.. I'm getting old, that's all. I see how fast the kids are growing and it makes me think." He shrugged, and I linked my arm with his. "We're both getting old. But we still look good. Especially you." He looked up at his curls and began to play with them. "Just promise me one thing. Promise me you won't leave me."
He put his sandwich down and looked at me. "And why would I ever do that?"
"Well, like you said. We're getting old. Especially me. I've gained some curves from having all of these kids, and I feel like you'll find a younger, hotter girl to be with. And you'll leave me." I admitted, and all he did was laugh and shake his head.
"I'm old too. No younger girl would want me either. Plus, I wouldn't leave you. I promise. I'm more scared of you leaving me. For someone like Brian." He fiddled with his fingers for a bit before looking over at me.
"Brian was a one... two time thing. That's it. I would never leave you for him. I love you and only you. You're the only man I'm in love with."
He smiled and he tilted my chin up and kissed me. "You're the only woman I'm in love with."
I stand up, taking his hand in mine. "Come on." I lead him outside as we sit down in the backyard furniture. "Even though I said I'm madly in love with you, If I ever catch you with Olivia again I will not hesitate to-"
"I get it!" He said, cutting me off and making the both of us laugh. My head found its way back to his shoulder as we sat in comfortable silence.
"Mommy? Baba?" Our attention turned to Zuri, who stood in the doorway before running to come sit between George and I.
"Zo, it's past your bedtime." George reprimanded.
"I know, but I wanted to sleep with you but you weren't in bed. Then I got scared." She sniffled and wiped her tears, before I saw George's eyes soften as he held her tightly. "It's okay. We are okay." He kissed her cheek and rubbed her back softly in small circles to help her fall asleep.
"Sing a Song, Baba." I looked over at George, wanting a song as well.
"Here Comes the Sun-"
"But it's nighttime, baba." She confirmed and George smacked his forehead. "Of course. I forgot." Zuri and I laughed softly.
"Well then... Here Comes the Moon..." He sang jokingly, before he stared off, as if he just realized something.
But we sat outside, cuddled with each other until Zuri fell asleep, and I carried her to bed, with Geo behind me as we all went to sleep.
