I stretched as my sore body made me cringe. Rubbing my eyes, I sat up and was met by George's eyes looking at me. "Hey, George." I laid back down and sighed happily. "Good morning, Brielle." He said with a huge smile on his face.
He was going to kiss me again, but Zuri began to cry. "I got it." He said, and got up and went to Zuri's room. While he did that, I got up and went to the bathroom to ready myself for the day. Once I finished getting dressed, George shocked me in my closet by smacking my bum while I wasn't looking. "George!" I said with a giggle as I playfully hit his arm.
"Ahh I missed this. Us being happy." He pulled me into his arms, my back against his chest, and his arms wrapped around my waist. I giggled softly as he nuzzles his face into my neck.
"Why did I marry a guy who is so irresistible? And not just to me, but every woman wants you." I said, looking at him and wrapping my arms around his neck. He kissed me softly before pulling away. "They can like me. We can't control that. But I'm only in love with ye." We kissed again, and my hands found their way into his long hair.
We pulled away, and he went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. While he was in the shower, I snuck my hand in and smacked his butt. "Ay!" He said, and moved my hand away. "Don't do that!" We both began to laugh and enjoy the moment. When he got out of the shower, he pulled me in for a kiss, which I quickly succumbed to and kissed him back.
We were cut off by the doorbell, so George got pulled away and got dressed before going to go see who it was. But as he walked away, I stopped him. "Don't get it." He looked at me with a confused look. "And why not? Are ye expecting somebody?" I shook my head and pulled him towards me.
"No, because every time we open that door, someone comes in and ruins our peace and tries to come between us." We both laughed, even though I was quite serious, and he kissed my forehead. "We will be fine." He walked away to open the door, and I took Zuri from her room and joined George at the front door.
"Hello, George." Ravi greeted George. "'Ello, Ravi! How are you?" He asked, and they gave each other hugs. "I'm doing alright. I just received the amount of money that the concert made and have a few things to discuss." He looked over at Zuri and I and smiled. "Hello Brielle and Zuri. Nice to see you again!" I hugged him and smiled.
"It's nice to see you too, Ravi! Come in." George took Ravi to the living room and sat down with him as they discussed everything from the concert. I would've joined them, but decided that they should be alone. I took Zuri to the kitchen and gave her breakfast, and I fed Cleo too, who met us in the kitchen.
"Then who do we give it to?" George asked as I brought them some refreshments. "Thanks, love." George looked at me and winked, and I tried my hardest not to blush, but I immediately failed. I let them carry on with their conversation, but Zuri wanted to see what was going on. She crawled into the living room and she used the couch to pull herself up. George, Ravi and I watched her. Were these going to be her first steps? She slowly let go of the couch, and took 3 quick steps to George, and fell down.
George's eyes widened as he picked her up quickly and placed kisses all over her face, and it made her laugh. "She walked! She 'ad 'er first steps!" He laughed and cheered her on, and Ravi smiled, clearly enjoying the moment. I felt like I was going to cry tears of joy at any second, but I held back. But I was obviously proud of her just as much as George was.
"Daddy's proud of ye, love." He kissed her cheek and held her close, and her tiny arms wrapped around his neck as she rested her head on his shoulder. She's already such a daddy's girl. I asked if George wanted me to take her so they could get back to their meeting, but he shook his head. "No, I got 'er. Don't worry." He smiled at me and I nodded and walked away. But I couldn't help but notice how beautiful his smile was. I haven't seen it in a while, and I definitely missed it.
"Alright! Thank you, Ravi." George hugged him before he left. Once he closed the door, he began to tickle and shower his daughter with kisses. "You don't know 'ow proud daddy is of ye." She didn't know what he said, but it seemed good, so she smiled, showing off the few teeth that were growing in her mouth. "Baba!" His smile grew wider. "I'm Baba. I'm daddy." He said, walking to the kitchen and walking over to me and quickly pulling me in for a kiss. "We made her." He looked at Zuri, then back at me. "I know, Geo." I giggled at his amazement. "I love seeing you smile." His comment made me blush, and the phone rang.
"I got it." He went to his office space and answered the phone. " 'Ello?" He answered. I wanted to give him his privacy, but I didn't know if I could trust him. He's proven to me that he couldn't, and all of that just made my insecurities worse. I walked closer to the door, but tried my best to stay out of his sight. "Oh Hello, John." He said, and I moved away from the door and took a breath of relief. It shouldn't have to be like this. But I did wonder what John wanted.
