"How's the book doing?"
"I just sent it over to the editors and from there, it will be sent to the publishers."
George sat down and laid on the bed, running a hand through his hair. "Tonight's going to be... something." He chuckled as he watched me change.
"Yeah. I suggested the idea because we haven't been able to just take a break and spend time with each other, and make memories."
"I hear ye." He stood up and fake yawned as I looked for new pajamas.
"But ye wouldn't mind if we were a little late, would ye?" He walked over towards me and smiled, before leaning over and kissing me as he rubbed my baby bump.
"I wouldn't mind, but I think our guests would." I laughed softly as I kissed him back.
"I haven't been fulfilling yer needs recently, I know."
"Yes you have."
"Physically, no. And I feel horrible. But that will change. My work comes second, and ye and the kids come first." He smiled as his hands ran down my sides and onto my butt, squeezing it.
"George... everyone is waiting for us." I blushed, and George quieted me with a kiss. "Let them wait. I want me pregnant wife to feel loved."
"But I do feel loved. You show me love enough." I kissed him back as he slowly guided me towards the bed.
"I'll be right back." He laid next down and left the room.
" 'Eh! John! Can you watch the kids? Something came up."
John, who was in the main room with the kids already looked at George. "Do ye really trust me with the kids?" He laughed softly.
"I.... I do, actually." He smiled, and John smiled back. "Okay. I'll keep me eye on them."
George thanked him and came back into the room, and I was on the phone.
"I'll be there as soon as possible. Get Ruth and Jace." I hung up.
George could read the panic on my face as he began to grow worried. "Where are ye goin? What's 'appening?"
"Mimi lost the baby. Miscarriage." I sighed as George sat next to me. "Oh no..."
"Yeah. I have to be there for her, as she's always been there for me."
"Alright. I'll come with ye. Right after we..." A smirk appeared on his face, and I shook my head. "We can't. I'm no longer in the mood."
George nodded, understanding where I was coming from.
"Well let's go, then." He stood up, taking my hand and helping me up. I got out of my pajamas and threw on a dress and my shoes.
"We are going to be gone for a little while." I heard George say to John.
"So do yeh want me to stay and watch the kids?"
"Yeah, I'm sure the kids would love having ye here with them." George said.
"Well, okay then. I would love to watch those angels of yers."
"Thanks, John."
Once George and I got dressed, George went to tell the kids that we would be leaving but would be back. And as he did that, I was in the kitchen placing some snacks in my bag for the ride.
"Come on, love." He called me from the kitchen as I stuffed half a bagel into my mouth, and wrapped the other half and put it in my bag.
I looked at my kids, all hugging them and kissing their heads as I wished them a goodnight. I stopped at Noelle, who was pretty much falling asleep in John's lap, and I kissed her head before letting her sleep.
"Where's me kiss?" John pouted, and George rolled his eyes.
"Gross." George laughed along with the rest of us, before he waved and joined me by the door.
As we were about to leave, Daniel ran over to us. He pulled on my shirt and wiped the tears that already began to fall.
"What's wrong, Dan?" George picked him up, and he proceeded to wipe his tears on his father's shirt.
"I want to go with ye, Baba."
Such a daddy's boy.
"Well, Bri. It's up to you. I wouldn't mind Dan coming along."
I looked at his wide puppy eyes as he pouted. Why does he have to look like George so much?!
"Alright. Fine." George got him ready and quickly brought him outside.
We got into the car and George places him in his car seat and made sure it was on right before getting in and driving off.
"Where are we goin, Mommy?"
"We are going to see Aunt Mimi."
I looked back at him and he was smiling brightly.
"He looks so much like you when he smiles." I told George, and he began to smile proudly.
"Us Harrison men have very beautiful features and smiles. Except Harry. I don't know 'bout 'im." He joked, and I laughed.
Once we got there, it was pretty late. But I knew I had to be there for Mimi no matter what, because she's always been there for me with no questions asked.
As we got out of the car, I noticed that Danny was sleeping, so George unbuckled him out of the car seat and carried him and I walked to the front door and rang the doorbell.
Once Mimi opened the door, I hugged her tightly. "I'm so sorry." I said, and she hugged me back.
"I just really need some good company right now." She sniffles, and I could feel her tears falling onto my shoulder.
"To me, it seems like you've been pregnant for years. Every time I see you, you're pregnant. It feels like you never gave birth. But then I go to your house and every time I do, the kids continue to multiply." She joked, which made George and I laugh.
I rubbed her back softly, and after I pulled away, George leaned in and hugged her. "Yer the one always giving me hugs, so now it yer turn." Mimi laughed softly as she hugged him back.
"Thank you for coming." She said, and she stepped back and looked at the sleeping boy in George's arms.
"I'll take him." She smiled softly as she took him from George's arms and cuddled him in her arms.
We both entered into the living room where the rest of our group was.
We waved at them and sat down, making ourselves comfortable.
"How do we plan on cheering her up?" Jace asked, and I began to think.
"Maybe we should all go somewhere. Like a resort or a cruise or something." I shrugged.
"That's not a bad idea..." Ruth said, and Jace agreed as the three of us smirked at each other.
