Donghyuck's pov
I woke up feeling sweaty and paralyzed. My mind started to freak out when I realized it was just a body draped over me. This made me begin to freak out all over again because I distinctly remember going to sleep alone.
The stranger lets out a soft groan and shuffles their position slightly. This gives me the opportunity to get a glimpse of who it was.
Mark.
My heart starts to flutter. Why was he in bed with me? I don't remember him coming into my bed.
"Mm, good morning," Mark speaks up, slowly opening his eyes. "Did you sleep well?"
"Oh, um, yeah I think I did. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what are you doing in here?"
A blush covers his face, before he starts stuttering out a response. "You were having a night terror. I was comforting you. I'm sorry I thought you were awake. It seemed like you were awake."
Realization hits me, as bits and pieces of my dream came back to me. I dreamt about the lab finding me and dragging me back. Literally, dragging. It was terrifying. My heart rate begins to accelerate from the anxiety of the dream.
"Hey, you okay? You look scared. Was your dream a bad one?" Mark takes my hand in his and rubs it with his thumb.
I didn't respond, but instead lean my forehead against his chest. My mind couldn't seem to put a coherent sentence together at the moment, but having him close seemed to really help.
"As soon as you're ready, we should get you some food."
I groan, but it comes out muffled. "Can't we stay like this a little longer?" His chest vibrates from his chuckle, bringing a smile to my own face. This position felt so natural and I didn't want to leave his warmth just yet.

The day was relaxing for the most part. Even Taeyong was found taking a break, while cuddling Jaehyun. The whole place seemed so domestic. You wouldn't have guessed that they were one of the most powerful gangs in Korea.
Mark and I had been goofing off in the kitchen, making cookies while trying to follow a youtube video recipe. It seemed way too complicated for something so simple.
"Haechan."
Taeyong's rough voice made me flinch, at first.
"I think we should try having you join us on our next mission. You should try out your powers."
Mark hesitated, before interrupting. "Powers? As in, multiple? I thought it was just moving stuff around with your mind?"
I giggle at the lack of vocabulary he had for the situation. My attention turned back to Taeyong. I was hesitant. My powers weren't the best, to begin with. Also, I left the lab because I hated being forced to use my powers.
Taeyong isn't like them, though. He's only suggesting I try them. I won't be studied either, being pushed further than I'm capable. The pros and cons of this was making my mind start to freak out, but before I can make any response, Mark steps in.
"He might be scared. We should let him think about it."
They could be my key to defeating the lab. I could take them down.
Relief starts to flood my mind, thinking about how I'll finally be rid of the fear I have for that organization.
"I'll do it."
Mark and Taeyong landed their gazes on me, Mark showing worry and Taeyong portraying pride.
This is my chance to become stronger and gain better control over my abilities. I trust Taeyong to keep me safe. I trust Mark. They've all shown me nothing, but kindness and hospitality. This is what I need.
"I want to help. I'll use my powers, but on one condition."
Taeyong smirks at his success, "Anything, within reason."
"Help me destroy that lab."
