It had been a couple of months since Haechan mysteriously disappeared after the gang fight that had gone down at the masquerade charity dinner and Mark hadn't been okay since then. Everyone figured the younger knew why the other had gone, but they all were left in the dark. It was probably for the best. They just hoped Haechan was okay.

It wouldn't do much, but Taeyong had offered up the idea of visiting the carnival in town since it was that time of year. The mood needed an energy boost and this was the best for them. They could all enjoy themselves and forget about life for a moment.

It had been decided that they should all take three cars. Their group was giant, but everyone wanted to go and get out, enjoy some off time. The drive was rowdy as everyone rambled excitedly about what ride they would ride first and how many games they wanted to win. The energy in the whole group was like a live wire, something that hadn't been seen in a long time.

The fair was located in the middle of a school field, a bunch of tents and rides filling the area. It was loud and energizing, seeing all of the families and groups of friends running around shouting and laughing. Something about it was infectious and made the gang fill with happiness, as well.

The night was approaching them slowly so the sky was painted with warm pinks and oranges, illuminating the boys' faces that held wide smiles. It was a warm night and the light cool wind ruffled their hair, as one by one they all paid for a ticket to enter the fair.

They all ran off in groups, the younger ones mainly stuck together as they wanted to ride the more insane rides and the older members rambled on about having competitions on the games. It was a pretty even split.

Johnny was trailing behind the group slightly, his eyes drifting from all of the colorful lights to the different attractions and stalls. A brush of wind made him shiver slightly, as he rubs his bare arms for warmth. It may have been summer, but the nights were still chilly.

His eyes drift over to Ten, who was trailing slightly behind, as well. It seemed as if the younger had something on his mind. Johnny decided he wanted to cheer him up or at least give his worries a break for the night.

"Chittaphon." He speaks up. Ten whips his head towards the older with a playful glare on his face, after hearing his full name being used.

"Johnald?" Ten matches his pace with the older. The steps began to fall in sync unintentionally and it made Johnny smile slightly to himself.

"Let's go ride some rides together, please? I might get lost if I don't use the buddy system." Johnny felt butterflies in his stomach. He may be a bold person, naturally, but for some reason Ten made him nervous, in the best way possible.

Ten nods, "Let's ditch these losers." This makes Johnny burst out laughing. They quietly count to 3, to themselves, before immediately bursting into a sprint away from the group. Their laughter fills their ears, as they run and weave through the abundance of fair goers. In that moment, the excitement of running off away from their group was high and invigorating.

It was an unspoken agreement, after loss of breath, that they decided to just stroll, neither sure of how to begin a conversation. The crunch of the gravel beneath their feet filled the silence between them, in the mean time. Random people would run past them and on occasion, someone would bump into one of them causing the two boy's hands to brush against each other. That seemed to happen a couple of times and Johnny's heart seemed to go wild at the skin to skin contact. He wished he could just grab Ten's hand already and never let go of it. Life wasn't going to be fair to him, though.

"Ooh! Johnny, take a photo of me here! The sunset is gorgeous," Ten excitedly states, pointing to a bush filled with beautiful pink flowers. Johnny quickly agreed, mentioning how it was a perfect Instagram picture.
