The rest of the day was spent taking pictures of anything that interested the boy, which just so happened to be everything they passed. It made Yeri satisfied that he was easy to please and was pretty well mannered. Kun was right about how great he is. She couldn't wait to see his powers in action.

The next day, Yeri had her friends come over. They were really close to her and she trusted them with her own life. They also knew about Yeri's secret and how she wanted to help those like her.

"Haechan, can you get the door? It should be my friends," Yeri asks, after hearing the door bell ring. She was finishing up making their lunch.

"Yeri! You didn't tell me you have a child!"

She bursts out laughing, before joining them in the living room. "Guys, this is Haechan, not my child. Haechan, this is Seulgi, Joy, and Wendy. Where's Irene? Could she not make it?" Joy shakes her head, but mentions how she would stop by later.

"So, who are you, Haechan?" Wendy asks.

"He is a lab kid like me. He's only a couple of years younger than me. I can finally start my project of finding those who went through what we went through." Yeri was excited to be able to tell her friends about him, to show how she wasn't alone with all of this.

They spent most of the time explaining his powers and his backstory, including how Yeri knew about him. Haechan was nervous around these strangers, but the vibe they gave off was calming and he felt safe. It was cool that he was able to meet some new people, especially those he would be able to consider friends.

When they finished talking about his lab life, Yeri asked if he wanted to talk about how he got here. He wasn't sure about how confident he was to retell everything that happened prior to arriving to Yeri.

"Well," Haechan starts quietly. "Taeyong agreed to help me take down the lab, so this mission we were on, well, it didn't go as planned. I was able to distract my dad to let the gang leave, but I had to kill him in order for me to escape again."

There was a bit of silence, before someone said something.

"Wait, so he's dead? You killed the man who ruined everything for you?" Haechan nods at Seulgi's questions. "Bro, I'm so proud of you. That took a ton of guts."

"I love how he just said he murdered someone and you're over here hyping him up."

"Okay, yeah, but to be fair, the dude was gonna murder him first."

"You're going to make him think it's okay to kill people!"

"Well, it was only one person and I doubt he would be able to do it again."

The bickering kept going back and forth, making Haechan feel a bit uncomfortable. It seemed like Yeri was picking up on this because she ends up bringing the argument to a halt.

"Alright, what should we watch on tv? Netflix? Hulu? Switch through the channels?" Yeri asked. She decided to switch through some of the channels to get a feel of what was airing at the moment.

As she kept mindlessly changing each channel, some show stood out to Haechan. "Wait, go back."

She flipped back a couple of shows and landed on the one Haechan wanted to see. It was the news. They were filming a live segment of a funeral.

The owner of the lab's funeral, aka his adopted father.

"Holy shit," he whispers. It felt weird seeing this. It seemed too good to be real. This was the end of it? His struggle and fear was over. Well, his fear of the lab and struggle to runaway, at least.

"Is that him?" Yeri asks, not looking at Haechan. It was like a car accident you couldn't look away from. He was gone for good.

"Okay," Seulgi breaks the silence after watching ten minutes of the ceremony. "We need a distraction. He doesn't deserve you seeing this. We are bad bitches who don't need toxic parents."

"Seulgi!" Yeri laughs at her statement.

"So, Haechan, do you want to work on your powers today? It'll be good to practice them and get them under as much control as possible. It took me some time to fully control mine." Yeri stood up and Haechan began to follow. They decided on going to a nearby park that was usually vacant and not known about. It would be the best place to go, as it was large enough for him to feel comfortable with using his abilities. He was excited to play with his powers.
