Sorry for dying on you guys I'm back

Third person pov

Yuta, Doyoung, and Ten walk up to the host at the front entrance. Ten moves in front of the others.

"Is your name on the list of attendees or do you have an invitation?" The employee asks.

"Yes, my name is Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul. I should be right-" he goes to point on the list, but then swiftly moves his hand back and immediately whips it at the specific pressure point on the side of his neck. The guy in front of him immediately collapses and goes unconscious behind the podium he was standing beside.

"Why'd you say your name?! What if he knows who we are and when he wakes up, he could call for back-up." Doyoung asks. He was glancing around nervously. "We need to be more careful, idiot."

Ten simply ignores the other and walks into the banquet hall.

"Doyoungie, I actually think it was quite nice that he introduced himself." Yuta says while leaning over to check if the dude was breathing or not. When satisfied with the outcome, he follows the other two inside, adjusting his mask.

The front lobby was quiet with only the muffled sounds of loud chatter and jazz music coming from the main dining area. The three began to scope out the place and when they felt it was clear, one of them informed Taeyong that it was safe for the rest to come in at that moment.

As soon as Taeyong received word that it was okay to move in, the rest of the group made their way to the entrance.

Mark could feel the anxiety radiating off of Haechan so he swiftly slipped his hand into the younger's. This was it.

Haechan fidgets with the ear piece Taeyong had given him, along with the others. He could hear Renjun through the receiver, testing the audio of the device. Taeyong wanted them to keep communication effectively so they don't lose this mission.

"Alright, we blend in for a bit and then take action," Taeyong briefly whispers loud enough for the group to hear. The five of them make their way into the banquet hall, anxiety creeping in quietly.

They file into the main room, finding them surrounded by many party guests with masks similar to theirs. It made it easier to look like they belonged in this crowd. They stood for a moment glancing at everything, their plan dancing in their minds.

It wasn't that hard to find a place to seat themselves, as it didn't seem like it was reserved seating which played well in the gang's favor.

"Channie," Mark asked the younger as soon as they were seated. "Would you like to dance for a bit?"

Haechan nervously glanced at Taeyong, who seemed distracted by the commotion surrounding them. After deciding it would be fine, he looks up at Mark's standing figure and nods.

It was like a scene in a movie. The prince offers the mysterious masked main character for a dance at the ball with his hand held out for the other to hold. After accepting his invitation, they make their way to the center of the dance floor and float about through the other guests in a waltz and the prince twirls his dance partner with the crowd watching in awe.

Except, that was just what happens in the movies. Neither of the boys were capable of anything more than a simple swaying motion while they stayed more towards the edge of the dance floor, not in the eye of the crowd. Regardless, it was still a precious moment between the two, with their hearts fluttering with every second.

The song slowly comes to an end and they could hear Taeyong telling them that they needed to be in position now, so Mark and Haechan slowly begin to pull away. Before they start walking away, Mark pulls Haechan back to plant a soft kiss on his forehead.

"I love you so much, Haechan."

A smile grows widely on the younger's face. If it weren't for the situation that had them there in the first place, he would have wanted to keep dancing and forget everything around them for a moment, but reality set in.

As his steps brought him back to the table, his hand encased in Mark's, Haechan felt the anxiety return. This was where they part. He hopes this entire event goes quickly. All he wanted was to be at home cuddled up with Mark watching movies or playing video games as Yangyang yells at Lucas for something dumb that he did. There was a small, nagging feeling in his gut that something bad would happen. He hoped it was just the nerves getting to him.

Mark's hand slips out of his own. It felt like time slowed down and it was only them in the moment. Haechan's eyes met the older's as Mark turned to walk off.

"Haechan, it's gonna be okay. I promise."

The younger sits in his seat for a moment. The overwhelming feeling began to overtake him again.

"Hey, Taeyong, I need to go to the bathroom before everything starts."

It didn't seem like Taeyong was completely focused on what Haechan was saying, but he agreed nonetheless, telling him to go quickly.

Without hesitation, Haechan makes his way to a nearby bathroom. He needed to breathe for a moment.
