The next day, they were ready to leave. They decided since they had some stuff to carry with them that they should just fly in an airplane to Korea. Yeri was only bringing some essentials since it was just a visiting trip for her, but Haechan brought everything he wanted to keep with him. It wasn't much, though. He was very minimalistic.
"Did you let Jongho know we're leaving?" Yeri asks, as they walk on the airplane. The nerves were high as Haechan had never flown in an airplane before.
"Yeah. He knows." Haechan finds his seat. He decides on sleeping right away so he wouldn't have to experience the anxiety of flying, even if Yeri explained that there was nothing to be scared of.
The flight ended up going by quickly, thanks to the long nap he had. It was all due to the chaos that happened yesterday that just made him so drained of energy.
"Okay, so we're going to part ways here. You know where you're going right?" Yeri asks. The two were walking out of the terminal. Haechan was groggily feeling, but he also felt rested.
It was time to go home. Yeri promised to join with him later on, but this reuniting was for Haechan.
He decides to walk outside, away from the eye of the public. It was actually more difficult than he thought, since there was a person around every corner. That annoyed him.
Finally, finding an empty area he secures his backpack and teleports out of there. It was night in Korea, thankfully not too late. Haechan was getting excited. He couldn't wait to see them all.
Haechan was glad he didn't forget where the house was located and soon enough he stood in front of his old home.
The smile on his face dropped. He scanned the property in front of him, what he was sure to be the correct location. It didn't seem right, though. This building was clearly abandoned, slightly burnt on one side of the house. It was definitely fire damage that was different from the one he experienced when he lived there.
Where were they?
Did they leave? Did something happen to them? Haechan was concerned and really confused. He just wanted to go home.
Before calling Yeri to ask for a place to stay, he decides on taking a walk. He needed to clear his mind first and also get his legs moving after the long plane ride. The disappointment coursed through him. This was just how his luck seemed to go.
Maybe it was fate telling him that he just needed to move on. It was a part of his life that was meant to stay in the past.
He finds himself in the downtown area, walking past old stores that he vaguely remembers seeing from when he first came here. He smiles to himself in nostalgia, remembering that day. It was when he first met Mark and Jaehyun. They saved his life that day. They gave him a family.
Kicking the rocks in his path, he found himself walking past a convenience store. He noticed somebody waiting on their phone outside.
Wait.
That somebody looked oddly familiar. The person looks away from his phone, upon hearing footsteps and the two catch each other's glances.
Mark.
Was he real? This wasn't his imagination was it? It couldn't be. Haechan and Mark were frozen in place. Both couldn't take their eyes off each other and neither believed this was really happening.
"Hey, Mark, they didn't have the ice cream flavor you wanted. So, are you okay with mint chocolate chip instead?" Taeyong walks out of the building, but stops when he notices Mark ignoring him. So he looks at what caught the younger's attention and immediately drops all his bags when he discovers who was there in front of them.
"What the fuck?!" He runs over to him and wraps him in a tight hug. "Haechan?! You're real?! Oh my god I missed my favorite son." He let's go to give Mark a chance to see the other.
Emotions were running wild between the three of them. Mark immediately pulls him into a hug, not wanting to lose this moment. It was just them in that moment. Only they existed and they were finally reunited in each other's arms.
"You're back." He lets out a sob. "You're back. I have my Haechan back." At this point, all three of them were full on crying.
"Okay, I know you guys want to indulge in your reunion, but we should get going. It's getting really late and it's not safe to be out here for too long." Taeyong announces. He finally grabbed the bags of snacks he had dropped and tried to get the other two to start leaving.
"Tae, we're in a gang. I'm pretty sure we'll be fine." Mark laughs while pulling slightly away from Haechan. He still made sure to have his arm wrapped securely around the other. It was to make sure he didn't lose him again.
Taeyong scoffs, "Well, you never know. People can still take advantage of us." That causes the younger two to laugh even more.
Haechan felt happy that he was able to find them again. How hopeless would he have been if he had to call Yeri about not finding them.
"I can't wait to tell Jaehyun. Oh my god he's going to be so happy to see you." Taeyong giggles at the thought of his boyfriend's reaction.
"Wait, so Jaehyun's okay? What about Kun?" Haechan asks, nervously. He hoped the other was doing fine, too.
Taeyong smiles sadly at Haechan, knowing the departure he had with Kun was pretty traumatizing. "He's fine. It took a while for him to recover, but he's doing great. I'm sorry you had to go through that thinking he died, but I promise when we get back, he will be one of the first people you see."
That thought relieved Haechan to no end, almost like an elephant finally off of his chest. "Wait, so did you guys move? I tried going to your house and it was abandoned."
"Oh, yeah. We figured news travelled quickly in the gang society about our house so we set fire to it and left. We wanted others to think we were done for, but we wanted to start anew and we actually found a better house more in the mountains," Taeyong explained, as they walked to a car that Haechan assumed was theirs.
"Let's go home, Haechan."
