As soon as Kun said it was okay to leave his care, I immediately found Mark. I wanted him to know that I was okay. He seemed to worry about me a lot and I only wanted to ease those worries.

I found him playing around in one of the game rooms with Johnny and Taeyong, who, for once, had a moment to relax and have some fun. They were all playing Mario Kart and it looked like Mark was currently in first place by a lot and the other two were yelling at him in a playful manner.

I decided to help out the older two and immediately collapse on top of Mark's lap while shouting 'boo!' and immediately breaking out into laughter.

"What the fuck? Oh my god, Haechan! I lost first place to Johnny!"

"Ha, thank you, Channie."

"Yes! I passed him, too." Taeyong high fives Johnny in victory.

"You're lucky you're cute, Channie." Mark coos, causing me to blush, but then attacks my sides with his fingers. Laughter erupts out of me as I felt vulnerable from him tickling me. "Stop, stop, Mark, please." I try to say between breathy laughs.

Thankfully, I get a break from the overwhelming sensation, but I find myself still curled up into Mark. This is nice. I could get used to this.

"You guys look pretty cozy over there."

Taeyong's voice startles me and I end up flailing while falling onto the ground. I let out a groan, but don't make any effort to get up. The older two burst out laughing and a blush heats up my face.

"Are you okay?" Mark asks, reaching a hand in my direction. I grasp his hand in mine and pull myself up. "I'm fine, I'm going to get some water, though. Does anyone want some?"

Taeyong nods his head, letting me know that he wanted a glass, but the other two decline the offer and decide to go back to playing another round of Mario Kart.

Making my way down the different hallways that lead to the kitchen, I couldn't help thinking about the position Mark and I were just in. The blush that was previously scattered on my face made a reappearance just from the thought. I need to tell Mark my feelings. I hate keeping this bottled up.

I move my body swiftly around the kitchen, grabbing the glass and drifting over to the sink, almost like a dance.

I used to watch videos of people dancing during my free time. It was one of my favorite past times since I never really had much to do. Watching people dance made me envious, especially seeing how free they looked and probably felt. I tried a small amount of dancing, but the workers never condoned that behavior and energy.

"Donghyuck?"

My heart drops for a moment, not expecting my old name. I turn to find Jaebum walking into the kitchen area.

"Oh, what are you doing here again?" I ask, a smile growing on my face. Seeing him more, since the breakout, makes me feel less anxious about everything. A sight for sore eyes.

"I had another meeting, but with Jaehyun, Taeil, and Doyoung. Plans for a future mission."

I nod, not sure what to say as the air felt awkward.

"Why did you leave?" Jaebum asks, breaking the silence after awhile. "Like, why didn't you tell me you wanted out of that place?"

I pause before responding, making sure my response was what I want to say. "They were killing me, Jaebum. They were mentally and physically tearing me apart."

"No," he stops me. "They were protecting you."

My eyebrows furrow into each other, "From what? They had that place securely locked down to keep anything out."

"From yourself."

I feel my heart drop and my face go pale. "What? No. They weren't protecting me. They were destroying me. Why would you think that?"

Jaebum visibly sighs, his shoulders slumping, most likely from feeling defeat. "Do you mind if I could get a glass of water, too? I'm just really exhausted from the past couple of days."

Third person POV

Haechan nods, feeling slightly bad for being defensive. He shouldn't have gotten upset, but Jaebum was provoking him, he didn't know what the younger went through.

He places his glass on the kitchen table and made his way over to the cabinet of glassware. As he had his back turned, Jaebum grabbed a small round glass bottle out of his pocket. He quickly opened it and emptied its contents into the glass of water.

Footsteps approach the kitchen quietly, but halt immediately at the sight of Jaebum returning to the upright seated position and a milky, discolored liquid swirling in the glass, only for it to dissolve quickly. The mystery liquid didn't dissolve quick enough into the water, though, as Taeyong had already saw it. He knew that color in liquid anywhere. He trained himself in this sort of thing. His blood started to boil at the thought of what was happening before his eyes.

It doesn't take Taeyong long before he's screaming and has Jaebum pinned against a wall with his arm against his throat.

Taeyong is seething with anger before he starts yelling.

"HOW FUCKING DARE YOU COME INTO MY HOME, WHEN I TOOK YOU AND YOUR PATHETIC GANG IN AND GAVE YOU A PLACE TO CALL HOME AND THEN YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO FUCKING COME IN AND TRY TO POISON MY FAMILY?! I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU. I WILL DO IT. YOU KNOW WHAT?! DRINK THAT GLASS. DRINK THE FUCKING POISON."

The yelling caused the household to be on alert. Haechan, glass of water long forgotten, was in the corner curled up, crying and shaking. Jaehyun sprinted immediately to the room as soon as he heard Taeyong screaming. He goes to pull Taeyong off Jaebum, but Taeyong doesn't budge.

Mark runs in and goes to Haechan immediately, encasing him in a tight hug, whispering that they should go to another room. Haechan was too in shock to move or hear Mark's words.

"Tae, let him go. Let's talk this out. You can't just-." "HE FUCKING TRIED TO KILL HAECHAN. THIS MAN IS ASKING TO FUCKING DIE BY MY HANDS. I WILL DO IT, JAEHYUN. LET GO OF ME I'M GOING TO MURDER THIS DISGUSTING PIECE OF SHIT. WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?! EXPLAIN YOURSELF BEFORE I CASTRATE YOU AND FORCE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT. YOU NEED TO EXPLAIN QUICKLY."
