The city terrified Haechan.
It was not this chaotic last night so it confused him as to where it all came from. Loud horns blaring everywhere, shouts of anger and laughter from other pedestrians, and so many giant birds. Yeri informed him that they were called pigeons. They fascinated him a lot, but it caused him to get yelled at when he would go up to them because pigeons are "demon rats with wings".
"Okay we need to work on getting you a phone. I won't be home all the time because I do have a job so I'll need to make sure we can keep in contact at all times. Also, teens need phones it's an essential." She laughs at that last part. Haechan just nods and follows her where ever she went.
A phone. Maybe he could find a way to get into contact with Mark. Does he even have a phone? It didn't take them long to get to the phone store and it was added luck when they found that not many customers were inside.
"Stay here. Play with the ipads or something." Yeri orders, as she walks off to find an employee. Play with the what? Confused, Haechan turns towards the table displaying sample electronics.
Eye pad? What is that? He stared at everything, hoping something would show him what an iPad was. Each sign next to the devices labeled them as phones. Would it be slang for a phone?
"Hi there! Anything I can help you out with today?"
Haechan jumps from the unexpected voice and takes a step back. The anxiety of the situation was beginning to take hold, but he tries to remain as calm as possible.
"Uh, uhm, the ipads?" Haechan could barely get the words out. Maybe the stranger could help him.
The stranger nods his head as he leads him to the ipads, which were situated right across the table.
"We have multiple versions of the ipads. They come with different accessories when you buy one today. These versions-" The man was giving him an informative speech about them, but Haechan couldn't focus with all the new terminology thrown at him. He had no clue what the other was telling him, it was like an alien vocabulary.
"So, can we set you up with one today?" The man looks at Haechan with a hopeful smile. Right before he was about to nod and agree, Yeri comes up to them immediately. "Hi, yeah he's with me. You don't need to sell him anything. Thank you, but goodbye." With that, they exit the store.
"Yep, we definitely cannot leave you alone," Yeri states, her hand that was around his arm loosened a bit. "I told you to play with the ipads, not buy one. You don't even know how to work a phone, let alone a giant version of a phone."
They quickly find a cafe they can sit down at and relax for a moment. The day was filled with lots of touring and walking everywhere, but they needed a break.
Yeri turned on the phone to show Haechan. "This is the power button..." She goes into an entire speech about how the entire phone works.
After a bunch of repeating information and all the questions Haechan could think of, they finally felt good enough for Haechan to use this on his own. Well, he hoped.
"So, I can watch movies on here? I don't need to stay in one place?" Yeri nods. "Woah, and I can take pictures! Can we take pictures outside? I want to be able to save them so I can show the guys back home!" Haechan was like a child with his first phone. It was exciting to him. They never allowed him to have anything like that at the lab and he never needed one at the gang's hideout.
"This is the funniest thing ever. You're so adorable!" Yeri coos at him while he plays with his new device. "Okay, there's a park right across the street I'll take you there."
