(Chapter 20 woop woop! I'm going to take a pause after this chapter to gather inspiration since I barely have any right now. In the meantime enjoy this long chapter with a twist at the end uwu)
KENMA: Oi! What the hell are you yelling for?
Everyone's eyes were on Kuroo as he excitedly leaned over the railing, almost about to fall. I turned around and winked at him with a smirk and he playfully pretended to faint like a fangirl while Kenma wanted to hide because of the embarrassment.
The game went on and more and more people were joining the crowd on the bleachers, word had gotten around that Nekoma's team was especially strong this year. Everyone oohd and ahhd as they saw the five players on the court working like a perfectly oiled machine, everything clicked with them. The boys' basketball team was there aswell and they all yelled and cheered when Ayumi scored a three point buzzer beater at the end of the second quarter.
All Mai could tell them was to keep doing what they were doing and not give in just because they were winning. The other team was only able to score from outside of lane as (y/n) was rejecting anyone that entered it, she'd never rejected so many throws, it felt amazing.

The game ended 76 to 58 and the Nekoma girls on the bench all ran into the court and hugged the five exhausted players and then the entire team proceeded to greet the other players and the refs. As soon as she'd showered and changed (y/n) walked out of the gym to find her loving boyfriend and his best friend patiently waiting.
KUROO: There's my shining star! Y/N: Oh stop!
They exaggerated their movements as the dorks they were.
MINAKO: K-Kozume-san...
She shyly greeted the pudding head.
KENMA: Hamada-san, good game. MINAKO: T-thank you, heh. Y/N: Seriously, did you see this one? Thank god you were there, I don't know if I could've held things down in the defense part. MINAKO: Oh please, you rejected everyone just fine when Yu went in in my place. Y/N: But you know damn well I can't deal with a full court one on one. MINAKO: True.
She chuckled. We got going towards our houses and for the most we talked about animecon and what we were going to do there.

KENMA: Goodnight, Hamada-san... MINAKO: G-goodnight, Kozume-san, Kuroo-san, (y/n). Y/N: Goodnight Minako! See ya tomorrow! MINAKO: You bet!
They both chuckled and as soon as their friend was safe in her house they left to reach their own.
Y/N: Damn, she's such a reliable player... I've never felt so safe in defense, knowing she's always there to catch me when I fall is the best feeling in the world... KUROO: I'm glad you're happy here... I was afraid you wouldn't like it and you'd want to go back to Karasuno... Heh. Y/N: Karasuno was great but, Nekoma's where I truly belong. Plus, Nekoma's where you are~
