RAFA: Just a bit more... A tiny bit, come on...

(y/n) groaned in pain as Rafa delicately bent her knee, slowly pushing it toward her chest, carefully.

RAFA: Ok, we're done!

He stated after a few seconds of keeping her in place, he extended her knee once again and gave her a pat on the leg.

RAFA: You did great today, (y/n). We've made a lot of progress.

(y/n) released the stress ball, and the breath she was holding, the ball gaining its original form as it inflated.

Y/N: Well, I'm glad to hear that!

She said as she slid her leg into the knee brace. Rafa wrote some things down on that session's report paper and put it in a folder.

RAFA: I think you might be ready to start twisting... Trust me, you'll be back on the court in no time.
Y/N: I sure hope so, thanks Rafa.
RAFA: See you next week!
Y/N: Yes you will!
RAFA: Don't be late!

He chuckled to himself as he put her folder away.

It'd been a couple of months since the spring tournament and school was almost coming to an end. (y/n) moved onto wearing a knee brace and was on her way to recovery. She assisted with the team's training as she couldn't drag herself away from basketball yet, and in the rest of her time, she mainly studied for the final exams which were coming up. She felt so nervous that she wouldn't pass even though she'd been studying nonstop the past days.
Kuroo not being there didn't help at all.

Y/N: I'm home!!

She shouted as she closed the door behind her.
No response.
She walked to the kitchen.

ramen in the cupboard

(y/n) grabbed the ramen cup and stared the water boiler. She bummed the song she was listening to as she fiddled with her phone. Suddenly her phone rang.

Y/N: Hey, you.

She smiled as she picked up.

KUROO: Hi, babe. How was ur meeting?
Y/N: All good. He said I'm gonna be back on the court in no time.
KUROO: That's great! I'm just finishing up some tests at the wind gallery but, hey I wanted to ask you something
Y/N: Yeees?
KUROO: We have a match next weekend and I kinda want you to come
Y/N: Oh? You never really cared if I came to your uni matches
KUROO: I know but... There's this one really irritating guy on the other team and... Forgive me for wanting to show you off!!
Y/N: HAHAAH, I'll be there Tetsu~
KUROO: Really?
Y/N: Of course, I do miss you a lot
KUROO: I miss you a lot too, I can't wait to kiss you again, and hug you, and... Touch you...
Y/N: Mhmm, Tetsu, please don't do this to me. I gotta study and I can't be thinking about you the whole time...
KUROO: Sorry, sorry. We just haven't done it since you got hurt and it's been a really long wait
Y/N: I know babe, It's hurting me too
KUROO: Soooo, are we gonna do it when you come here??
Y/N: Possibly... We'll see
KUROO: *sigh* Must you be so misterious?
Y/N: Yes, I must. Now I gotta go so I'll text you later, alright?
KUROO: Alright, babe. I love you
Y/N: Love you too, bye

She giggled as she hung up the phone. As she was studying, images of Kuroo's hands on her skin kept popping up in her mind.

Y/N: Shit, that rooster haired bastard's got me distracted.
