Garren's apartment was in the same building as Deus' but it wasn't underground. As a matter of fact, kabaliktaran ang location ng dalawa since nasa twentieth floor sila ngayon at kita ang buong city mula roon.
"This should be more expensive than the underground apartments.
But the advertising and marketing for the underground apartments made it seem like they were fancier. In some way, maybe they were.
Deus' looked new, modern, and very well taken care of. Garren's looked kind of older and the wall paint was faded!
"Good girl. Anyway, Bleik, we have two rooms here.
There was also a table in the middle na may nakatambak at hindi naka-arrange na mga libro. There were books everywhere. On the bed, on the floor.
That was hard work.
"Magpa-deliver na lang tayo ng food ha. I'm too exhausted to cook. Isa pa, we need to celebrate Bleik's first meal after ages."
Pumalakpak si Kari.
She actually had her first meal back in Deus' place, the porridge that Garren made. But it didn't taste any thing at all.
"I asked him before we left pero may importante yata siyang gagawin."
Lumungkot ang mukha ni Kari.
"Wait a minute.
"T-Tungkol saan?" Her voice sounded better now. Hindi na tunog palaka na may sipon. Tunog palaka na lang.
"Gwapo ba si Sir Deus?" Kari's eyes were dreamy.
Naalala ni Bleik ang mukha ng lalaki. His messy dirty blond hair. His lean body under his shirt (where the muscles on the right places were hidden). How did she know? His prominent and manly jaw. And his turquoise eyes, they had a language of their own. Nangungusap ang mga 'yun. He seemed to smile easily but his eyes conveyed something else. Something lonely.
