38- Missing

Deus drank two more bags of blood while Greg was driving like a mad man. Kung saan ito nakakuha agad ng sasakyan na kasya silang lahat ay hindi na sila nagtanong. His resourcefulness really came in handy. Ang laking tulong nito sa kanila.

"How are you feeling?" nag-aalalang tanong ni Tiana.

"I'm fine, Kambal. The blood helped a lot," sagot niya saka pilit na ngumiti. Ang higpit ng hawak niya sa sheath ng espada.

Malik raised his eyebrow while looking at Deus. Alam nito na hindi pa rin siya naka-recover nang tuluyan but he should go get Bleik back. Hindi lang para kina Garren at Kari kundi para na rin sa kanya.

She needed to be there with them. With him. Hindi pa niya alam kung bakit but she definitely belonged there, with them.

"Drive faster, Greg," nasabi na lang niya. Weak or not, he would rescue Bleik.

"Naka-maximum speed na tayo, Deus," Greg answered regretfully.

"Oh. I'm sorry. I'm just on edge."

"It's alright, Man. Ganyan talaga 'pag ang ka-lovelife mo ang involved," Greg joked though his voice a little higher than usual. He was just making him feel better.

Tiana scoffed.

"Wag kang bitter, Tiana. Maging happy ka sa kakambal mo," segunda naman ni Malik. Palalampasin pa ba nito ang pagkakataong 'yun na magbiro.

"I'm not bitter, Marcus Gaulik!" paangil na sagot ni Tiana. "Remember, I have a fiancé when I go home. Ikaw, wala. Ikaw ang bitter."

Humawak si Malik sa may dibdib nito na para bang nasaktan. "Touché, Tatiana Savenne. Touché."

Tiana smirked.

Deus was thankful to his sister and friends. At least he felt a little better. Kailangan n'yang maging focused. Being on edge was not being helpful.

And lovelife? Si Bleik? They would have to see about that. First, they have to succeed in rescuing her.

Sa likuran ay panay ang buntung-hininga ni Garren. Wala itong hawak na kahit na anong weapon. She would rely solely on her magic. Deus was worried about her but she's a capable witch. She could hold her ground.

Keira and Bryce looked defeated. Kakauwi lang ng dalawa sa anak and they had to leave again.

But they needed everyone here.

Deus felt so selfish. He felt really bad for dragging other people in this mess. They didn't even know Bleik.

Umabot ng twenty minutes ang kanilang byahe bago walang pag-iingat na nag- parallel park si Greg. Agad naman silang tumalon pababa ng sasakyan.

"Damn!" mahinang sabi ni Malik nang makita ang nangyari sa lugar na 'yun.

All buildings, big and small, were in smoke. Almost all were left in ruins. They also saw some dead bodies of mortals scattered everywhere.

Gustong masuka ni Deus sa nakita. He was used to seeing dead innocent people but never killed by someone he cared about.

How could Bleik do this?

Garren was silently crying. Maging ito ay hindi rin makapaniwala na nagawa ito ng kaibigan.

"Where is she?" tanong ni Bryce.

There was no commotion. No activity in the surroundings.

They just stood there, in the middle of smokes and ruins. Everything was quiet na para bang hindi iyun dinaanan ng delubyo na kung tawagin ay Bleik Harnash.
