[Y/N]'s POV:

(recap)

I slowly felt my eyelids grow heavy and I drifted off into darkness.

----------

"Mom! Dad! Leo!" I cried, floundering in the freezing water. I could feel the current trying to pull me under the ice, "Where are you guys! Someone help!" I screamed, clinging onto a piece of debris. I could feel my grip loosen as my body went numb. I let go of the one thing keeping me afloat and slipped into the frigid water. I opened my eyes and looked around, terrified of the sheer darkness that surrounded me.

Suddenly, I saw a shape in the darkness. Is that help? Help me, please! I thought, swimming towards the shape that had now morphed into two figures. But as the figures closed the distance between us, my eyes widened in fear and bubbles escaped from my lips as I let out a scream. I could see my parents swimming towards me, their skin was as white as snow, their arms outstretched, their eyes milky white, their veins popping out. They opened their mouths and bared their teeth at me,

"[Y/N], come with us! Don't leave us! Why did you leave us?!" they wailed, advancing on me. But before they could grab me, the sound of metal against bone rang out and their headless bodies sunk into the depths.

My body shook, but whether it was out of fear or from freezing to death in the cold water, I wouldn't know. Another person emerged from the darkness, covered in black blood.

"[Y/N], it's okay, it's me. It's Leo," he said, his hand reaching out to touch me. I flinched away and he frowned, "What are you doing? Are you leaving me? You can't!" his voice became frantic as I started to swim backward, trying to get away from him, "You can't! You promised! You promised me that you wouldn't leave me!" he was yelling now, coming closer to me as I continued to try and get away. He continued his never-ending rant,

"You aren't allowed to leave me! I won't let you. YOU'RE MINE!" he shouted, his hands grabbing my arms and shaking me. His eyes glowed, forcing the memory from the sports festival to come forward. I screamed, opening my mouth. The black water rushed into my mouth and filled my lungs as I screeched for someone to help me.

----------

"[Y/N]! Wake up!" my eyes shot open and I sat up quickly, "You okay? You were crying out and shaking," I looked over at the boy who woke me up. I wiped away my tears and sniffed. It was just the two of us,

"I'm fine Denki, thank you though," he looked at me out of the corner of his eye and sighed as he pulled up a chair and sat facing me.

"Please talk to me [Y/N]. You can't keep everything to yourself you know," I gazed at him softly.

"Where is everyone?" I asked, changing the subject,

"It's still early, but people are probably close," he said, maintaining eye contact, "and don't change the subject," he stared at me intently.

"I never knew you could be this serious." I chuckled nervously,

"[Y/N], stop." he said persistently, "please talk to me. I want to be someone you can trust, someone you can rely on, someone like Shinso," my eyes widened at the last part. We looked at each other in silence for another minute before I sighed and looked down, admitting defeat.

"It was about the accident," I said quietly,

"What accident?... Oh..." his voice trailed off

"Yeah." He scooched his chair closer to me,

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked tentatively,

"Not really."

"Okay, well, just know that I'm here to listen. I'm not going to talk over you, judge you, interrupt you, I'm just going to listen." He took my hand and I gave him a small smile. A tear rolled down my cheek and he wiped it away with his thumb, "Please don't cry, it hurts me so much to see you cry."
