Chapter 4

Chris' POV
I just woke up and I feel Mel's warmth next to me. Everything I wanted I have. My family is growing quickly and the love of my life couldn't be any better. The other day she shared some of her past and I am incredibly proud of her for that. My daughters are all healthy and the baby is doing great. I am woken from my trance when Mel kissed me on the cheek.
Melissa: What are you thinking about?
Chris: Our family and how perfect it is.
We just stayed in bed and stared in to each other's eyes when our daughters all came running in.
Avery: Mom, dad wake up.
Anna: Good morning we are hungry and there is no food in this house.
Melissa: How about we go out and eat breakfast and then we can stop by the store and get groceries?
Alexa: Can we walk and go to Butters I saw it on the way here and it looked good.
Anna: That is a great idea and Izzy could use a walk and Drift and Farley could use one to.
Melissa: Everybody get ready and I will get Avery ready.
Melissa left the room with Avery in her arms and went to go get her ready. That led to everyone getting ready and starting the day.
Melissa's POV
I headed out of our room and across the hall to Avery's room. She wore a pink dress white sandals and a jean jacket. I brushed her hair and put it in a braid down the middle of her blonde hair and the pink dress made her blue eyes pop. I then brought her back to our room to lay in bed and put some cartoons on so I could get ready. When I walked in the bathroom Chris was just finishing his hair and he had a pair of nice jeans on and u-neck shirt on. I was starting to brush my teeth when Chris wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck. I finished brushing my teeth and shifted in his arms so I was facing him.
Melissa: I would love to, but our daughter is in the next room and we have teenagers that all could use some encouraging plus the dogs need to get ready with there leashes.
Chris: Okay.
Alexa's POV
I was in my room getting ready when dad knocked on my door and told me we were half an hour away from leaving. I decided to wear ripped jeans and a t-shirt with a low cut and tied in a bow in the back. I left my light brown short hair down and curled it. The blue shirt made my brown eyes pop. When I was done I went to get Avery from mom and dads room and I headed down to dad feeding the dogs except Izzy she was probably with Anna still.
Ashton's POV
I headed into my room and put a red jump suit on and white sandals it is 70*F outside and this is a perfect summer outfit. I left my straight blonde hair down and put my contacts in the old contact solution irritated my light blue eyes and I was happy I could finally wear them again. I walked in to mom and dads room to get Avery but she was already gone and I figured she was downstairs so I made my way down there.
Melissa's POV
Both Alexa and Ashton cam into get Avery when I was doing my hair and makeup. I just finished and headed to the boxes that have our clothes in them I picked out a short blue dress and white sandals. The dress isn't so tight so I didn't feel uncomfortable. Plus it wasn't so tight so my bloated stomach didn't show. When I was finished getting ready I headed downstairs and I saw Chris and the girls were sitting on the couch watching Sponge Bob. I took a picture and when I was looking at it Anna was not in it so I made my way up to her room.
Anna's POV
I am siting on my bed in tears. I can't find anything to wear because all my clothes are crop-tops. I know what I want to wear on the bottom but my scar is still raw and red, not to mention ugly. I am still crying when mom walks in.
Melissa's POV
I walk in to her room and I see Anna crying.
Melissa: What's wrong sweetie?
Anna: My clothes are all crop-tops and none will cover my scar.
Melissa: Oh honey it is okay. That scar brands you a fighter and that is amazing. If people ask you about it I want you to be proud because that means you survived. If you want to you can wear a dress. How about you wear this pretty mustard yellow dress. The flowers on it will make your hazel eyes pop. It has mesh around the part with your scar and it is a baby step. Put this on then I will braid your hair into two and you will put on mascara.
Anna: Okay.
Mom braided my hair and after that we went down stairs. I hooked Izzy's leash on her and Alexa had drift and Ashton had Farley. Dad picked up Avery and we headed out the door to eat brunch.
