Chapter 12

Caity's POV

Anna and I headed downstairs and everyone was ready to go. By the time everyone was ready it was 5:30, so we got in the car and headed to Runza. Runza is like a diner in downtown Vancouver with really good food.

Nicole: Who's excited for ComiCon.

Alexa: I am. Since I don't have to do any interviews we get to see the town and tour it.

Ashton: I am excited for the shopping.

Avery: I get my casts off and I get to be with mommy and daddy all day.

Anna: You know you won't be with us all day right.

Avery: No mommy and daddy said I would.

Anna: Whatever Avery. (sigh)

Nicole: When are you guys heading up?

Alexa: In two days. We fly out later at night.

Caity: So you guys will be there a day earlier than us.

Ashton: Yep.

After Anna and Avery went back and forth Anna stayed quiet pretty much the rest of the night. Only talking when she needed to. It was like she wasn't excited to go. At the end of the night after sending the rest of the girls to bed. Anna, Nicole, and I were watching tv when Melissa and Chris walked in.

Nicole: Hey guys. How was your day?

Melissa: Good. We got everything done and had a great time. Thanks for watching the girls. Hey Caity.

Caity: Hey. This was hard, like really hard. I don't know how you do it.

Nicole: Yeah me neither. I get you guys are Supergirl and Valor, but still that was hard.

Caity: Oh. Anna is still up. She didn't seem like herself all night. She was fine till Avery mentioned something about being close to you all day long.

Chris: Thanks for the heads up and for watching them see you later this week.

Melissa's POV

Chris and I unloaded the car and then it all went downhill. We headed over to the couch and sat next to her.

Melissa: Hey how was your day?

Anna: Fine.

Chris: What did you guys do?

Anna: Had fun.

Melissa: Hey will you look at us. What's wrong. Just talk to us we want to help.

Anna: (Mumbling) Sure you do.

Chris: We do. We want to help

Anna: I'm fine. Goodnight. I'm going to bed.

We watched her walk up the stairs to her room and disappear.

Melissa: What did we do wrong?

Chris: I don't think we did anything wrong. I think it was something Avery said or did.

Melissa: Like a trigger word maybe. I will text Chyler tonight and ask if she can watch the kids tomorrow two hours tops. We can take Anna out for breakfast and then head to Avery's appointment later in the day.

Chris: I will make sure everyone is asleep.

Melissa: (Texting) Hey Chyler can you watch the girls tomorrow two hours top?

Chyler: Yeah why?

Melissa: Something is off with Anna and we want to take her out for breakfast to do some investigating.

Chyler: Okay be their at ten.

Melissa: Thank you.

Chyler: You're Welcome.

I headed upstairs and found Chris already in bed. I got ready and got in bed to. I can only sleep on my side so I turn to my side and Chris comes behind me and wraps his am around me.

Chris: I was scrolling through Instagram and the girls are all over it. There is a picture of them with Nicole and Caity. Walking through downtown. They were all laughing and it is a good picture.

Melissa: Even Anna?

Chris: No she was looking down so I couldn't tell. Just go too asleep it will be fine.

IN THE MORNING

Anna's POV

I woke up in the morning and started to get ready for the day. I decided to call my friend Molly and we started talking like always.

Melissa's POV

I popped my head into Anna's room and over heard her conversation with Molly.

Anna: It's just the fact that going to ComiCon is my thing with my parents. One on One time with my parents. We don't have to worry about who is gonna hold Avery or if there is a shopping mall near by for Ashton. Alexa doesn't need to be in control. Just me and my parents together without the others.

Melissa: Hey Anna get ready to go to breakfast. Just you, me, and your dad.

Anna: Okay. I have to go Molly, bye.

Molly: bye.

After we got back from breakfast we took Avery to get her casts off. I checked her in and we got called back to her room.

Dr. Bryant: How are you Avery?

Avery: I'm excited!

Dr. Bryant: Alright we are going to get started. Now this is going to make a buzzing sound and it might tickle, but it won't hurt.

Avery: Okay.

Dr. Bryant: All done Avery. You are good to go. She might be a little wobbly for a while until she builds back up the muscle, but she should be good to go.

Avery: Thank you Dr. Bryant.

Dr. Bryant: You are Welcome and you can't come see me anymore. I don't want to have to put a cast on another of your limbs.

Avery: Okay.

I grabbed Avery's hand and we walked out to the car. I told the girls to lay out things they wanted for SDCC and wait for us to get home. We grabbed the ComiCon outfits yesterday and they are hung up in our closet for ComiCon. Once we got home we headed inside and Avery ran upstairs to her room to play. I headed up stairs to check what the girls had and they all looked good, so I headed to our room to pack while Chris was making lunch.

Chris' POV

Chris: Girls food is ready.

Anna: I'll be down in a sec.

We all ate and then I went upstairs to pack while Melissa took Avery up to help her pack and the big girls did their own things.

Melissa's POV

Melissa:What do you think of this dress Avery?

Avery: I like it.

Melissa: Perfect we did it girl.

I ran into Anna next.

Melissa: Don't forget to pack stuff for Izzy.

Anna: Got it.

The rest of the day went smooth and we went to bed knowing everything was going to be okay-ish.
